Travelodge by Wyndham Lansing IL

Room.smelled. Sheets were nasty. Room was outdated and bathroom celing has water damage. White towels were grey looking.

Nothing was nice bathroom smelt like urine and carpet smelled bad

I am aware that Travelodge is low fare type hotel, but I have stayed many times at Travelodge Santa Ana, CA, also in Torrance, CA, and they are fair, considering the fares charged. This one in Lansing is, by far, the worse place I have ever stayed. Insecure, dirty, horrible services, no iron in the bedrooms, breakfast is a joke. Comparing to Travelodge Santa Ana, CA, I would give a 6.5 to Santa Ana, and 0.02 to Lansing.

upon arrival front desk clerk was very rude was we were located on 2nd floor the elevator was broken but there was no sigh stating it was broke then when we get to room we were hit with this terrible odor there was blood on walls and cigarette burns all over bath tub just horrible!

Front desk staff were rude. Most of the guests were either drug users or transients. Found a female guest slumped on the chair one morning most likely under the influence. Dining room was very dirty and food all over the floor, used plastic knife found in the napkin tray. Jug of milk for cereals just sitting on the counter without ice chiller. Only one elevator that was malfunctioning and we got stuck inside one morning. Elevator smelled like marijuana, cigarette smoke and urine. Guests constantly smoked in the hall by the elevator. This hotel should be reported to Chicago Department of Health and be closed down. Hotel.com should remove this hotel from their account!

Upon checking in at this hotel and going up to my room, when I opened the door I found the room to be occupied with the TV on and items on the bed. I quickly backed out of the room and returned to the front desk for a new room key. Fortunately the second room I was assigned was not occupied, but I was quite concerned that they might assign my new room to someone else while I was occupying it. I made sure to examine the room to ensure there was no one inside, and then engaged the deadbolt and the other lock so that no one else could enter. As a single woman travelling alone, normally I don't worry much about safety but this experience made me think twice.

It was a last minute booking on Line and the reservation went through really Quick. Customer Service employee was Friendly. The Motel is and Older Property Not FANCY at all but Room was comfortable and very Roomy and Clean.. Air conditioning worked Great. Good Value for Money.. No Problem in Area.

This facility has seen better days. The front desk persons were kind and helpful and the breakfast was decent. The elevator didn't work until the front desk person came out and started it. Comfortable bed, though.

This property was disgusting. The room smell was overpowered by cigarettes smoked and smelled horrible. The smell penetrated my hair, clothes, and aggravated my allergies. The bathroom looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a very long time. There was mold on the tub mat, in the shower and near the toilet. There were too many burn marks to even count on the bathtub rim, on the bedspread, and in the wall. We found a pubic hair on the towels in the bathroom. There were people smoking marijuana in the hallways. This place seemed more of an hourly establishment than somewhere to relax after a long day away from home. The hotel also had a policy that you couldn’t request a refund past 10 minutes from checkout. By the time we got to our room through the back stairway, because the elevator did not work, and even had a chance to look at our room, we missed the 10 minute mark. We chose to not stay the night and drove back home. I will make sure to tell all our friends and family to never, ever stay at this place ever.
