Th breakfast was the highlight the stay. The location was also great.

The stay was disappointing due to cleanliness issues. The bathroom rug was stained, the shower was not adequately cleaned, and the refrigerator and freezer were left dirty from the previous guest. The property feels outdated and no longer meets the standard I experienced when it was previously branded as a Residence Inn; it does not feel like a true suite.

When we first checked in to room 1022 the toilet clogged we called the front desk and they told us there’s no one on site but we could come to the front desk and get a plunger which we had to do shortly after that we went to bed and woke up to the thermostat at 76° even though we had it on cool andA/C. Once we realised it was not working we called the front desk who informed us that the property was full and only one person was working and it would be a while so we had to stay in the unit until the handyman finally came…. it was an hour later when he arrived ….my two other travellers left as they were getting sick from the heat exhaustion. The Handyman truly had himself convinced that he repaired the thermostat but he didn’t!!! Oklahoma He actually made me step on top of my toes and waved my hands and said don’t you feel it? It’s fixed don’t you feel it?and I said well why does the thermostat read 83 because now it was that hot at this point he said well maybe the thermostat is broken??? He then left but said to wait an hour and the thermostat will start working again I already had heat stroke and felt very dizzy and ready to pass out so I called the front desk after a half hour and demanded a new room which they accommodated me thank God and the AC worked fine. Now since my roommates were out I had to move three peoples belongings across the courtyard because they didn’t want two rooms occupied at the same time under my name I’m 70 years old and it’s 95 degrees out ….I nearly had a heart attack. We all stayed home that night because we didn’t feel well from excessive heat exposure all day and went to bed. When we woke up we had realised that the refrigerator leaked a lot of water all night and flooded the kitchen! We spent the morning cleaning the water. I won’t book through Booking.com again I’ve been with them for years and I thought they provided reputable hotels and Sonesta is a good name but this is just beyond unacceptable.
