Very poor service, in room dining was not good at all, food delivered was cold, the used cups in the room was not removed, no clean ones was replaced. The breakfast was very poor. This was the worse Sofitel Hotel that I have stayed in

Unfortunately I asked my Travel Agent to cancel our Beijing hotel and change to Sofitel Beijing Central. As an Accor Member, I have know the Sofitel standards to be excellent and expect to be looked after. Not so here . . . Reception staff was unable to communicate in basic English and would not recognize my membership ; no upgrade, no welcome drink, no friendly smile. The room was good, basic international standard, bathroom rather plush. Breakfast is extensive, especially for Chinese taste ; Western continental more limited - bread and Danish dry, no fresh fruit juice. The b/fast space is rather dark and gets overly busy, so I had to share a table. When I rolled up at the pool for a swim, I was told I needed to wear a swimming cap. Because I didn't have one, they offered to SELL me one !! I gave that a miss. Very disappointed and won't come back.

The hotel lobby has a foul smell

Hotel staff are pleasant 5 minute walk to metro station , bed is comfy , bath is nice . Property is generally really a nice but some furniture in the room has lots of wear and tear . Otherwise fine

Good located hotel, nearby attractions and shopping

We were so happy about the room, the serive and the hotels elegance. Good price for this kind of standart. Located very central in Beijing, very nice neighborhood.
