Sofitel Beijing Central

Room was spacious and had a nice view. Fairly central location also. Room that we were in had a hot tub which was nice after a long day out. Breakfast was probably one of the best spreads we’ve had in China.

Didn’t get much help with tourist attractions at the hotel itself. Concierge gave us a ridiculous price for a day trip to Great Wall so we had to do some searching ourselves.

Welcome was awful. They don't have the reservation from booking. I showed the reservation from booking, after 20 minutes they found it. Then they wanted to charge me 409 euros more expensive than the the price of the reservation? 8650 CNY instead of 5550 CNY as per the reservation. The room was great but smelling cigarette. Breakfast a foiod awfull. In basement, no space and dirty I don't recommend this hotel

Stayed with family for 3 nights. Check in was decent and organised, with Reception proactively upgrading our room, which was appreciated. Room was very clean and well appointed albeit older, with the drinks area scratched and worn. Toiletries a high standard. Beds comfortable and immaculate. Breakfast choice and quality was excellent, with a huge variety of food stations. That said the area is a strange layout, quite dark and cold in places and seemed short staffed. Those thatvwere there tried hard to keep tables clean and organised, but it was a challenge. Swimming pool is nice but, as with many hotels, somewhat spoiled but swimming lessons dominating the area in an unfriendly way. The hottub was closed, which was annoying. The changing areas quite ok. Maybe this is run by a 3rd party? Location is excellent for metro, ring road and local shops. Overall I don't think this is true Sofitel standard overall but is a good value choice as a solid 4 star hotel. The hotel is generally very dark in its furnishings, which sometimes is quite unhelpful to navigate. Thanks

We enjoyed staying at this hotel and we will miss it. The first impression we had was great, as the staff outside the hotel immediatedly took our luggages when we both checked in and out and they also opened our taxi doors. The staffs overall here are very kind, helpful and always smiling, and the reception man who speaks English left us especially with a great impression. The interior is stunning and the room also met our expectations, which we looked very forward to. Also, the breakfast was really delicious and left us satisfied. We will miss our stay this hotel as we truly enjoyed our short time here!

Our room had a faulty bathroom door. It did not close properly so water leaked outside the floor. I also expected more staffs to speak basic English as Sofitel is an international chain, but it was doable with translation app, and it helps that the non-english speaking staffs tried their best to accommodate our needs.

The location is super convenient. I brought my young daughter w me and we travel by train sometimes for the convenience. it is a 5 minutes walk to the subway and very convenient. The front desk staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel looks a bit dated to me but overall cleanliness is good

The gym area was messy and not clean

Our room was spacious and clean. The breakfast offered a great variety, and the hotel was close to many restaurants serving delicious food at very reasonable prices.

You need to wear a swimming cap in the pool, and the sauna must be used without clothing.
