Staff was very friendly, facilities were well-maintained.

A beautiful hotel! The rooms aren’t anything fancy, but are comfortable and great for a short stay. There are plenty of communal areas to sit I. The rest of the hotel outside the room, and it is quite lovely out there. Nice breakfast with indoor and outdoor seating. I showed up a day early and they quickly changed the reservation and got us into a room. I would absolutely stay here again.

Very walkable location. Lovely buffet breakfast. Staff are nice but I had to ask for a map and tour info. Rooms come with a safe, which is nice. Great shower with soap. Clean rooms. Rooms are small but there are Lovely common areas where you can sit. The front porch is especially inviting. The hotel can be noisy about once an hour when the train passes behind it and blows its horn. But it’s quiet at night. Location is within walking distance to National Museum, Jade Museum, Gold Museum, National Theater, Artisans’ Market, Central Market, grocery stores and restaurants.

The place was clean and nice. Our room did not have AC but had a ceiling fan, and that was enough. Breakfast is small but good.

From the minute we got picked up from the airport I knew it was going to be wonderful. The hotel itself, a refurbished Victorian mansion, is absolutely stunning and beautifully decorated. The amenities are excellent and the rooms are modern and spacious.

We learned from reviews that most rooms have no AC at this hotel except suites. When I called to upgrade, Kailene upgraded it for free! Thank you so much! It was a nice room with jacuzzi, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very simple Costa Rican style. The only issue is the train passing, it starts by 5am and stops before 9pm. Just go to bed early and rise early. Healthy living!!
