Amazing old hotel and amazing staff!

Wrong! room, very slow check -in Room Very small No chair !! Very loud guest , Very hard to fine guest services!! I left after one night ! Could not fine anyone to let them know , I was very Unhappy. Wanted Refund for 2nd night. Bruce Athey

Overall our stay was about what we expected it to be from the reviews we had read. Since we were arriving late, the property sent us an email with the code to the locked hotel door, and instructions on our room locations, keys, etc. What they did NOT give us was any information on where to park our rental car, which wouldn't have been a big deal, except for the fact we were in an unfamiliar foreign country in which we did not speak the country's language--two things which make what normally would be a pretty simple problem one that was stressful and full of uncertainty. No one was on site at the property to assist, nor did anyone answer the phone when we called. Once I was able to find a pay lot and Google Translate my way through talking to the attendant, we were able to settle into our rooms, which were serviceable and clean.

We enjoyed the charm and accessibility of this quaint hotel. Hotel Fleur De Lis is within walking distance to most main attractions, local restaurants, and markets. The full breakfast served was delicious and Karla was fantastic.

I’ve stayed here many times and I’ve never really had anything bad to say. It’s an old Victorian-era mansion, beautiful architecture with a convenient location. Beds & shower were comfy, tv worked good. The breakfast was delicious. Thanks to all the staff for making me feel welcomed

Very nice staff, the hotel is cozy and quiet. Near the Jade and National Museums, within walking distance of several other places of interest. Limited number of places to eat, but can find more places and a within walking. distance. If checking in after 8pm, make sure to get before traveling instructions on how to get into the hotel.

Well situated for access into the city. woman at reception was not too welcoming. Front door locks at 9 a.m. Entry through side door with code. No hotel management/representative on site from 9 a.m.- 6:00 a.m. then kitchen staff available. beautiful house, Carpet worn through to floor below. Good internet access and tv

We stayed three nights at this charming well-decorated boutique hotel with a French flair. The hotel is actually an original Victorian mansion that was converted. The hotel is located in the heart of San Jose near most major attractions (museums, market, restaurants, etc). The room we stayed in, the “Poma”, was spacious, clean, and had comfortable beds. By the way, all the rooms are named after flowers native to Costa Rica. We also enjoyed the breakfast which was included. But what made this hotel memorable was the staff. They were helpful, professional and friendly. They went out their way to make sure that we had everything that we needed. They even assisted us in making appointments at the hospital Clinica Biblica for our required COVID-19 tests. I would highly recommend this hotel. Value 5/5
