The Victoria Hotel Manchester by Compass Hospitality

I found a pest control device in my room that was for catching cockroaches which has put me off the place

It was good and the room was spacious. We did like the stay.

What an amazing find. Manchester was fully booked, so we ended up here. Great place, newly done-up (to high standard) and easy to find/park. Great value executive room. What really made it were the staff - super helpful and friendly. Came by accident - but I’ll be back!

Our stay improved greatly when moved from a room with a lumpy, very uncomfortable bed, a poor toilet flush and a hairdryer which fell apart exposing wires and fittings, whilst in use, to a recently refurbished room with all items working. The standard of cleanliness was good in our room but not so in public areas, corridors etc. The location of the hotel suited our needs well.

It is in a nice quiet position and handy for getting into Manchester city centre and off on to Motorways.

I had the best stay the room was lovely and clean and had very good facilities the bathroom was gorgeous. The staff were amazing and friendly. Will 100% be staying here again.

Hotel was nice and have stayed before. Got back around 11.15 and asked for a drink and the lad on reception said no sorry bar is closed. He then said the back bar is open where the was wedding to which he said you will have to ask the bride if you can use it. my understanding is the bar is there for residents (it is in every other hotel I have stayed and there previously) We then went to bed and there was music playing somewhere all night as i'm not a complainer I didn't bother but it was disturbing and i'm sure other people would have heard this. We stayed in the hamiton sweet and have stayed in this one before the toilet doesn't flush properly and was like this last time, also it may be handy to put in toilet brushes (just something I noticed wasn't in the bathroom) We was offered a take away breakfast on the way out but when you are ready to leave it's not really ideal to drive while eating!!!!

The downstairs area was very classy and a lot of effort had been put into the appearance. Upstairs was dated with feeble efforts to update the decor

The hotel is very average but good enough for a one night stay.
