Great property!

We were staying there on December 3-7th. Friends & I got 3 dinks at pool bar on Friday Dec. 5th and paid with credit card and left a tip. a few minutes later Warren Cridland (resturant & bar supervisor) along with the bartender come to us and told us for whatever reason the charge didn't go through and asked me to get my card and charge it again. So I gave them the card and they recharged the amount. The next day I saw double charges on my card for the same transaction. I meet with warren next day and he told me he will cedit me back withing 7 days. It's now been a month later, and after 6 emails back & forth there is still no credit from marriott and now warren doesn't even reply to my emails anymore. TERRIBLE cuustomer service from an incompetent supervisor. I had to call the credit card and sent them the chain emails to have the credit card to reverse the charge.

Our family just returned from an incredible stay at the Marriott Puerto Vallarta Resort & Spa, and we couldn't be happier with our choice. From start to finish, the experience was seamless and relaxing. The Highlights: * The Staff: This is truly what sets this property apart. Every team member we encountered was genuinely warm, professional, and went out of their way to ensure our family was comfortable. * The Rooms & Updates: We were very impressed with the recent updates. The rooms felt fresh, modern, and impeccably clean. The design updates throughout the property really elevate the overall atmosphere. * The Atmosphere: You can’t beat the Vallarta sun! The pool area and grounds are beautifully maintained, making it the perfect spot to soak up the rays. Whether you are traveling with kids or just looking for a beautiful coastal escape, I highly recommend this resort. We are already looking forward to our next visit! A few tips for your post: * Mention names: If there was a specific server, concierge, or housekeeper who stood out, adding their name to the review goes a long way with hotel management. * Add Photos: TripAdvisor reviews with photos of the room or the view get significantly more engagement. Visited with my family for a wedding and it was the most beautiful wedding I’ve ever been to! This place does excellent job for weddings and I would highly recommend over anywhere else I’ve ever stayed. Aside from the wedding the place is beautiful with excellent service, comfortable rooms and friendly knowledgeable staff looking forward to returning!

The copy of our itemized bill doesn't match the new charges issued 2 weeks after we checked out. There's a world of difference. Check your bill people. They need to covert to all in-clusive the food is terrible.

It was nice and clean

This is a solidly nice hotel. We visited for 6 days with 2 teens in 2 rooms. Relatively quiet (which we wanted), though pool music was annoyingly loud at times. Food was good. Not much status recognition (I'm a Titanium). We did get an upgrade but only after back and forth and the resort was fairly empty. The employees are friendly, but seems like management doesn't empower them to make decisions. Ice machine broken on our floor the whole time, and incessantly beeping. Called down multiple times, and my husband eventually went out and unplugged it. Very nice beach area. They have people continuously removing the rocks so the sand is nice. Room was clean, pool not so much. Saw some trash and floating sunscreen oils which was gross.

Not the family friendly resort we were hoping for. We stayed w/ our 2 boys ages 5 & 7 after reading they had a lot to do for kids. There were no activities like other resorts we have been too. Also the “kids club” they advertise is a small old room in the back of one of their restaurants with a bunch of old toys thrown in it. My kids saw it and said no, and I couldnt blame them. The pool was dirty at times with algae on the bottom you could feel with ur feet, used bandaids and bugs floating. The room was clean, and housekeeping probably the best thing I can say about this hotel. Restaurants were overpriced and just okay food. Location is in the marina which is nice if that’s what area u want but a solid 20-30 min ($200 peso) cab ride one way to downtown depending on traffic. I complained to management upon leaving and they just said “yes ur right we have no kids area we’re working on it” than why do u advertise u do!! do NOT stay here with kids!!! Besides the pool, there was nothing for kids to do -and definitely no kids club!
