The noise from the airport. Not disclosed self parking is 40$ until you check out. Plus 50$ of resorts fees on top of final payment in booking.com. When everything done you are paying double of what booking.com payment. Completely ridiculous.

Just wanted to say I had the worst experience at the Hyatt regency Newport Beach. We hosted my Son’s wedding reception and everyone stayed there for 2 nights, gave the guests $100 each to spend. The hotel bungled it up Royally…. Gave out extra credits, stay extensions all were charged to my wife’s saved card !!! Never took the guest credit card for incidentals and kept charging her credit card!!!! Worst is I had been telling them repeatedly about all the things they were not doing right but was told it’s all OK ??? The worst is they are claiming that the card was presented by all the guests while checking in? ? We were not even in the hotel and how can anyone present a card that doesn’t match their ID and the hotel accepts it repeatedly 🤬🤬🤬🤬lies lies lies . Made a complaint with Hyatt today, have stayed all over the world at various Hyatt properties and this is the worst and staff is incompetent and have chip on their shoulder!!!! Beware of this, now they are also holding my 20% contingency amount and multiple charges on the card…. I am following up with my card company to fight the charges and get report if the card was ever swiped…. I know it wasn’t.

Excellent Location, great service quality Food. Nera Fashion Island Mall and at the Marina. Staff is very nice and helpful.

The location is ideal for getting around Newport Beach, with easy freeway access. The property itself is expansive, with beautifully maintained grounds and a wide range of onsite activities including golf, shuffleboard, pools, and plenty of green space. Unfortunately, the buildings—and especially the guest rooms—feel very dated. The furniture is worn and chipped, bathrooms have old tubs and damaged vanities, the toilets are extremely low, and noise from footsteps in upper-floor rooms is loud and disruptive. The popcorn ceilings and overall condition of the rooms make the property feel far from quiet or modern. It’s really a shame that this Hyatt has not invested in updating the guest rooms, as the location and grounds have so much potential.

Staff are very professional and helpful. They are respectful and very nice smile.

Tub with black dirt, drainage is bad, tub easily gets filled with water during shower. Shower not functioning well.

This property grounds and the three pools are beautifully maintained, my room was spotless, and the staff extremely hospitable and helpful. This is a lovely resort with numerous activities for adults, as well as those with children. Parking options are valet or self-park.

A return visit to this lovely hotel. This Hyatt will stay on my list whenever I visit the Newport Beach area. I came here on business but now I wish I had more time to linger and enjoy. The staff was excellent in their service and making me feel welcomed! Nice touches all along the way! Thank you for a lovely stay.

Super loud everywhere.

Room smelled so strongly of urine it was choking. I asked for feather free due to allergies and they overlooked it and I had to wait. Apparently featherless means you don't get blankets. The heater was broken, Because of the smell of pee I kept the door open all night and froze. I have asked for a refund and have not heard back as customer care is AI only.
