"Musty moldy smell"

It’s so sad The property holds huge sentimental significance for us Our room was located in the balboa building As soon as you open the door you are knocked out with a Musty moldy smell That smell taints the entire experience

"Good but don’t use the toilet"

The hotel was pretty great your standard hotel with a pool but the toilet paper was SO thin like school toilet paper thin and when I came home for 2 DAYS I had a urine track infection (aka my pee burns when I pee) like what!?!? and when we were sleeping I heard the sound of an airplane taking off and it woke me and my mom up But other than that is was a pretty nice trip. Ps. GET BETTER TOILET PAPER!!!!!!!!

"Enjoyed old school vibes"

Some might characterize this hotel as aging and overpriced. I would say it is a well maintained opportunity to stay in authentic SO Cal digs from the 80-s to 90's. Laid back, easy to get around and great on site amenities. Drawbacks are potential for noise from neighbors or exposed outside hallway. In our case a wedding on site and noisy neighbors made one night of the stay a bit unpleasant. Overall though it was a peaceful and relaxing stay in a location we would visit again.
