Econo Lodge Downtown

It is in a sketchier part of town, but seems to be in a revitalization mode with new construction going on. It is a block away from the UTA Green line into downtown, which is a plus. When we went, the pool wasn't usable which was disappointing in the summer. The hotel is definitely showing its age and is on the run down side, and definitely not up to the Choice Hotel reputation..

We were greeted by the front desk gal(who was sweet and just doing her job) who informed us that we couldn’t stay because the rooms have bugs in them from the trees. We had reservations for and paid for two rooms. The hotel only showed one room on their computer. We had to pay extra for a second room. They demanded a $100 cash security deposit per room (for what? I don’t know because we got our deposit back in the morning without even checking our rooms.) there were bugs in the rooms a problem easily remedied if the doors to the rooms were sealed so bugs can’t get in. The tv didn’t work the doors had no extra inside lock and it’s questionable if the deadbolt could keep the room secure. The ac unit did not work properly. Phone charger wouldn’t stay plugged into the outlet so had to put something against it. We were asked to sign a “Mormon agreement” (that’s what Juanita the front desk gal called it) she said it is so our behavior was conducive to Mormon beliefs. Even though it wasn’t great at We were happy to have a place to sleep late at night

Wasnt able to stay coming out here from nevada for my daughter heart surgery and when we got there was told they had over booked and i needed to find a new hotel drove around in the phone for 4 hours

Can't sleep for the whole night

I made a reservation thru the app. When I arrived at the hotel, I found they only accept cash deposits. After returning with cash, they didn't have an available room and asked us to claim 3rd party for a refund. Another customer was yelling at the front desk because TV was not working. In addition, the area looks dangerous.

Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. I would have paid another $50 and stayed at a nice place in a nicer neighborhood. They also require a $100 CASH deposit. Which I was unaware of until we got to the checkout window. That’s right… you check in through a window. Which speaks on how safe the neighborhood is. The towels were dirty and hair on them. The sheets had specks of black dirt and the pillows were extremely thin. The showerhead was falling out of the wall. The sink would not drain. Never again will I stay at an EconoLodge.

The room was old dirty all shapery. The bed of the old man is made with a very dirty mattress.

Incredibly dirty

This is what we call a one and done type of deal. Very outdated, tv didn't even work they put us in a different room. Even if someone wanted to you couldn't use the pool. Family and I probably would've left but than we would have lost the 100 dollar cash deposit. You could tell people were living there. Just didn't feel safe
