Opus One Luxury Guest House & Wine

This is truly a hidden gem. The place is charming, the rooms are great, the staff welcoming and warm. The breakfast was fantastic. They made a dinner for us when we arrived late and asked where we might find some food. It was delicious. We ate dinner in town one night and then realized dinner at Opus One was SOOOO much better so ate there the rest of the time. Highly recommend!

Truly a hidden gem ! You would never believe by walking in the street that such a nice place exists behind this small door . Small hotel but very well kept. The staff is very friendly and nice . Always ready to help with whatever you need . Very clean. Definitely recommend !

This is nothing close to luxury... The pool is not as advertised - it's a big outdoor wading pool and the hot tub is some moldy old thing like my parents had - 40 years ago. As others mentioned they repair or replace nothing. It's true they can't even fix the toilet seat - but it wrong shape., brrrr brrrr.. it does get cold in early spring - they oops forgot to turn breaker onm, yea right. The breakfast was not as advertised - old cheese, stale bread, overwripe fruit - I don't care if they served it-when they called my phone they asked if I would be having the cheese tasting at night and be back for lunch.. I had read the menu - sounded like same type of horrible food and wayyyyy overpriced _ they didn't get me on this. I froze.. left hungry and disappointed but I went elsewhere to eat. I would not in any manner have the audacity to call this luxury. I think they only cater to the loads of overwhelming British tourists in summer and fill them full of overpriced drinks & food. Everything bad that has been written is true. Toilet seat., heat., drinks. Pool. Oh I saw reviews about door locks & can't get in (I experienced it myself a couple times) but when it was checkout & time to leave I made sure I had door jammed open in case it tried to trap another in and miss their flight or train

Slidt værelse men pænt rent. Pool var møg beskidt og spa ville ingen bruge pga. snavs og slet ikke betale extra for. Personalet var søde og serverede dejlig morgenmad. Men det var ikke en mulighed at købe en sodavand når man lå ved poolen.

This place offers a unique, high quality experience with excellent wine choices and absolutely delicious food. The hosts go out of their way to really make their guests feel welcome and have a memorable experience. My husband and I loved staying here from swimming in the pool and enjoying the wonderful wines and foods while dinner for dinner there. Highly recommended staying here if you are in the Faro area.

Great location and wonderful hosts at this boutique hotel. . We had a delayed arrival but they still put on a great cheese board and wine in arrival at 10pm. The breakfast was great with a wide choice of continental offerings . As our host specialised in wine we did a wine tasting which was excellent and good value for the quality of what we had . Room and facilities were good . We rarely return anywhere but we will go back to Opus one. The Wifi password was your home and that is exactly how they made us feel

First of all we have to say that we usually stay in hotels during our trips - however this time we tried out the Opus One in Faro because it looked really cozy and nice on the pictures...and we weren't disappointed ;-) The building and the decoration itself is very charming, the staff is super friendly and obliging and the breakfast is outstanding and delicious. Additionally, we tried out the wine and cheese pairing which was very informative and tasteful. We were also able to park our car near Opus One for free. We would definitely book again! ;-)

Fantastic nice hotek with very nice staff which is very helpful. The rooms are nice and unique with small terrace. The bar/breakfast area do also contain a small pool. They also offer portwine and wine tasting. Really a hidden juvel which I highly recommend.

A wonderful place run by superb friendly and dedicated staff. Perfect place for wine lovers as there is an impressive wine cellar with local vintage wine. Unique design makes the guest feel special. Luxury in the hart of old town. Delicious local food served in a tiny restaurant. Definitely a place to recommend for couples and families.
