The Carpenter Hotel

I loved everything about our stay and will absolutely be staying here again. It's a really well designed hotel and the experience was wonderful. It was quiet and chill while we were there and I would love to plan another trip to Austin to have an excuse to stay here again. The bed and the pillows were so comfortable. The food at the restaurant was great and the coffee shop was both convenient and delicious.

I liked the decor, it was colorful, modern and included a nice dining restaurant with a lounge and a cafe for breakfasts. The location was perfect for strolling the bridge and river trails. Close to the best area of downtown Austin.

The location is great- the common areas both indoors and outside are also very comfortable and nice to have breakfast on the patio ( as long as not too hot). The staff is great and responsive. The rooms look and feel like a prison… the beds besides being low, are just not that comfortable - lumpy and difficult to sleep! Would go back for a meal or a coffee- just not to stay.

It was too noisy with dogs barking and people yapping in the hallway. Needs to be more soundproof.

The location is excellent and having some outdoors space was nice for our length of stay. We were the only ones interested in the bikes, so we explored the city for a few days on those, which was a definite bonus!

The only thing that I didn’t love was the bed, which was not terribly comfortable for me. Everything else was great!

Great location. Access to coffee bar and a restaurant on premises. Pool was great

Pool was a little dirty otherwise amazing. Some ruckus from near by saloons, but to be expected with walking distance from everything.
