"Cool hip hotel; not comfortable"

The hotel felt like a renovated union hall. 1960s bauhaus communist luxe. It was a unique place and the staff was so so good. Just the vibe was off. No place to sit and relax except the coffee bar which was always packed. Too hot to sit outside. A cool hip place but not a comfy vibe. Beds were 12” off the floor so you feel like you are sleeping near the floor. Not worth the very high price.

Everything about the area was nice. A large selection of restaurants all within walking distance to include the restaurant in the hotel itself. Austin is just a friendly city, and the Carpenter did not disappoint.

"This hotel felt like a resort- it's a MUST"

It was perfection!! It's such a gorgeous property in every way. The rooms are adorable. We even got a balcony!! I wish my own bathroom was that cute. But then the jungle you get to walk through to the restaurant and pool and reception was incredible. Staff were sooo friendly and helpful. Huge shower. Comfortable bed. And so many delicious snacks available if you want them! I felt beyond pampered. OMG and the restaurant food and drinks!!! Everything was phenomenal. Wish they exited in more cities!!
