"Best experience by far in Georgia"

10.0

I was in Zugdidi with my family on the way to svaneti. My friend told me about this hotel and it overcame my expectations about this hotel and restaurant which was on forth floor of the hotel , there was a lot of Georgian foods which was sublime for our stomaches especially their special dish "Taste of samegrelo" there was also draft red wine which also was on spot thank you Iberia palace and your staff for giving us such great experience we love you. Sincerly your permament guest Jason

"Great, pleasant stay"

10.0

We came to the reception at 4:00 in the morning and the receptionist was really kind and helpful. Very nice rooms, there was enough of everything we could think of and the breakfast was really delicious! + the restaurant serves some of the most delicious food we had in georgia. 5/5

"good clean hotel in good location."

8.0

This is a well run hotel. basic rooms are fine, but the upgraded rooms look far better. Top floor restaurant looks very nice with views the breakfast was so bad that we did not dare eat dinner. Freindly staff. Good price. Everything works. No elevator and lots of stairs.

"Good value for money off season but room facilities description on booking.com were not true"

8.0

Pros: - Good air-conditioning system; - Friendly staff. Cons: - The room description on booking.com was misleading. We went for this room because it was supposed to have a double bed and a bath. When we arrived we saw two single beds put next to each other and a shower. Staff told us we can have what was in booking description for double the price (!). Quite an unfair marketing strategy if you ask me. - The breakfast was the worst I had during our 10 days stay in Georgia.

"not impressed"

4.0

Rooms are spacious but old fashioned and not quite comfortable. I had trouble to find power plugs on a convenient location. Breakfast was poor, Samegrelo deserves better. Staff is nice and friendly. Location is OK, almost everything is in walking distance

"The kindest staff and the most beautiful hotel"

10.0

My first time in Georgia meant a trip to zugdidi for business. I was blown away by how beautiful this country is and also how kind the people are. The owner Tamuna was fantastic, providing amazing food, amazing service and lots of information on the surrounding area. This hotel is more than a hotel, when you stay here you feel part of their family and it truly is like a palace. The rooms are classic in design with modern appliances and facilities. It is by far the best hotel in the area with out of this world Georgian food. If you are ever close by to this hotel, you NEED to stay here

"Not a 4 star hotel"

6.0

In the tropical border town of Zugdidi, I thought I had booked a 4 star hotel. Well this is 3 star at best. The 4 storey building has no elevator, a never ending staircase with a temperature of nearly 40 degrees, a restaurant conveniently located on the 4th floor which you reach exhausted and sweaty and extremely small guesthouse style rooms. Pictures on Booking.com look appealing; reality is unfortunately very different. Not recommended.

"Clean Place to Stay in Zugdidi"

8.0

It was my second stay at Iberia Palace. Actually, there aren't many places to stay in Zugdidi. This is not cheap compared to the average prices throughout Georgia. Staff is well-trained. They have everything you need for a short stay. Rooms are large. Breakfast isn't excellent. I expected more as local cuisine is famous for its natural and delicious taste. Convenient location.

"Delusions of Grandeur"

6.0

Having seen Napoleon’s death mask at the nearby Dadiani Palace one can continue the French theme by staying a night in room 205 (luxe) at the strangely named Iberia Palace for an exorbitant 260 lari. You get a suite of rooms, a jacuzzi, bathroom tiles depicting the Eiffel Tower, mirrored ceiling and a smell of drains from the Paris of Josephine’s era. There is also a broken toilet seat which hadn’t been fixed between February and end of May 2018. Yes, we had to repeat the experience since there is little real choice if you need to be in the centre of town. The location is good, some 250 metres from the Liberty Circle fountain, a branch of McD’s and The Host, an excellent Georgian restaurant. The other good news is that the breakfast has improved markedly over that time and there is more service with a smile and even some stirring classical music in the background if you are lucky. Don’t miss the mini waterfall and goldfish pond at breakfast. I suggest trying a cheaper room: they start at 130 lari per night. And check you don’t use the minibar. We had a couple of incidents among our group of the hotel claiming we had eaten their overpriced chocolate. Note that there is no lift and there is little interest to help visitors with their bags.
