The Beyond Villa Guilin Boutique Hotel

Location of the hotel is in beautiful nature and conveniently close to the city. The personnel took great care of us to have a splendid vacation.

The villa is in a pretty quiet village, and it's convenient to take a taxi to the city centre. It's next to the amazing Reed flute cave as well. There are nice local restaurant and the price is reasonable. The villa is traditional Chinese style with tea table, calligraphy table,share kitchen and dining place... The owner is very kind to make tea ceremony for us. The butlers are so friendly and good English to assist us to arrange everything what we asked. I love the atmosphere right there, made me feel like home.

Location is a bit out of the city

An excellent place to stay with character in the small Lujiacun village near Guilin. About a 10 minute DiDi ride into the city center. The rooms were spacious and elegantly designed. It’s not the Hyatt, so please know that you are getting a charming B&B-style stay in a quiet village. The village has a lot of character, with hanging sausages and tofu stalls around, quite different from the city. The innkeepers are very friendly and helped us to book Li River cruises. They are very responsive and provided access to their kitchen and gave extra teacups for my family. Breakfast was provided as 3 options (2 western style options and 1 option of Guilin rice noodles). Overall, an excellent and comfortable stay in a quiet village, away from the hustle and bustle, while getting a cultural experience as an international tourist.

No real complaints other than the location being farther away from the city center if you want more restaurant options (other than the local cuisine) and grocery stores. There are a few convenience stores in the village. The tofu stalls are a cheap way to get food nearby and everyone accepts WeChat or AliPay.

My first in a min-shu in China. I usually stayed in 5 stars international hotel hence I was approaching it with apprehension. It surpassed my expectations and value for money. The customer service who checked us in, Xiao Liang is resourceful and helpful with ideas as we arrived with no plans for Guilin. She arranged for a good guide to bring us around for 1 day at a reasonable price. The guide brought us to see excellent view in Long Ji and Ping-An. Xiao Liang also arranged the cruise for us to travel from Guilin to Yangshuo. The best part was the LADY BOSS - very hospitable, friendly and gracious lady. She invited my husband and myself to a dinner she has arranged for her close friends! IT WAS EXCELLENT for 2 seniors travelling free and easy on the first night in Guilin! Their hospitality, warmth, resourcefulness made this an excellent stay. AND THE VIEW is good. Really had a quiet and stressless stay in this min-shu.

It was a wonderful place to stay. Quiet and peaceful with friendly help from the staff. Breakfast was a highlight of our stay! Highly recommended for a tranquil break.

The boss was incredibly warm and hospitable. They greeted me with a smile and were always ready to help with any queries or requests. It really added a personal touch to my stay. Moreover, the location is very convenient. There are good transportation links nearby, making it easy to get around. Whether it's exploring the city or getting to other destinations, it's all very accessible. Overall, I highly recommend this place to other travelers. It's a great choice for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
