Remote for tv didn’t work, the room was a bit dusty, toilet is small, at first it smelled like they haven’t opened the room in a week.

I arrived late night of the 8th. First there was no water in the pool indicating to me that the pool was not open. The main reason this hotel was selected besides price was the pool. My wife and I wanted to take a couple days off to spend by the pool so that was no longer and option. I was not going to check in because of the situation w the pool, but it was late and just decided to go to bed and figure something out in the morning. I check in and got my room key. Went to the room and the key did not work. Returned to the front desk and got another set of keys and they worked. Upon opening the door instantly was blasted w hot air. Went to turn on the air, air doesn't work, TV didn't work and the room was disgusting. Comforter had several burn holes in it, the sheets were dirty, there was mold in the bathroom, the rug was terrible, the walls even worse, the pillows were tiny and practical no cushion. There was nothing remotely positive at all to discuss. So I return once again to the front desk and expressed my concerns. They assigned me to another room which was not much better. The air turned on at least but never got cool. Annoyed with the situation, I just decided to try and get some rest and figure things out in the morning. That didn't work. I spent the rest of the night sweating and attempting to rest. With all that was wrong w the place we checked out in the morning requesting a full refund and they told me contact booking.com and they will be refunding me the full amount of the stay. So that's what I am requesting, full refund. I paid the man at the front desk cash so I'm kinda of curious as to why you all would be the ones to refund me. The reservation was made w my card but I paid cash upon arrival. I am correct in assuming my card was not charged the $210? Please advise on how I go about getting my money back. This has now cost me the 210 in cash I paid for 3 days to 148.00 for one night and 127 for a second.

Checking in was a breeze. The staff were so polite and the room far exceeded what we had in our minds traveling in.

Nothing to dislike. Comfy bed, hot water and a relaxing environment.

Good price and not terribly far away from a very crowded local event.

Very outdated, dirty( dozens and dozens of dead bugs in light fixture, stains from spills etc running down walls, dirt and layer of dust on switches, shelves, corners of floors.

Close to Martinsville Speedway

The pictures on the website did not match what you recieve.. there was mice everywhere. The room was very outdated. The bathroom needs remodeled. The refrigerator did not get cold. The microwave did not work..
