Days Inn by Wyndham Centerville

The woman who checked me in was super nice. My room didn’t have heat so she moved me to another room. All night I could hear car alarms, kids laughing and the smell of pot from the breezeway outside. I couldn’t sleep between that and the uncomfortable mattress. I won’t go back

Very unfriendly staff. Don’t seem to be in the hospitality business.

I was extremely happy with my rooms. I ended up staying an extra night unexpectedly, so I had 2 different rooms. Very clean, very quiet and comfortable. The woman at the front desk when I checked in at night was such a sweetheart. I wasn't real sure about the rooms because the price was so good. You always hear you get what you pay for. But this is a case where you get more than what you pay for.

Staff was friendly and accommodating. The room was ok, very dusty, could have been cleaner.

Hotels.com said the stay includes breakfast and wi-fi. When we arrived we learned that they "still don't have breakfast" and the wi-fi is completely open, so our computer and iPad security would not allow it. The next day, we talked to a local who said not to stay at the only hotel in Centerville, but to stay in Buffalo where there are several more options...all of them better!

The air conditioning would not go below 76 degrees & then during the night, it wouldn’t go below 79! We couldn’t sleep. Not good.

Hotel location was easy to access and convenient for our travel needs. First floor room allowed easy access to pet area. Front desk clerk was extremely nice and helpful. Room appeared clean; however bedspread had holes and stains. TV did not work, front desk clerk tried to help but was unable to get any channels. The clerk said the owner would offer a discount because of the TV issue. The next morning he acted like it was my fault the TV wasn't working and began explaining about why I shouldn't have tried to fix it. I didn't try to fix anything, other than use the remote and do as the clerk was explaining. He did give a $10 discount total, but at first told me he couldn't because I booked third party. He took it off my pet payment. Walls had been poorly patched and doorframe was partially missing and cracked. Room smelled of cigarette smoke, when we asked for some air freshener they gladly gave us 2 kinds and said the guest next door must be smoking-great. The room worked for what we needed: rest and location, but I wouldn't stay again.

I decided to stop there on our way to Houston with my 14 year old daughter. I looked on the hotels.com app and it was the only hotel available for miles and had over a 7 rating, so I figured it would at least be clean for $90 per night. We showed up at 11 pm. The open sign was flashing and broken and the entrance looked sketchy. We went in the foyer and there was a glass window to pay and talk to the hotel staff. It felt like they were behind bulletproof glass which was worrisome. We confirmed we were booked for two queens in a non smoking room. He gave us the key and asked us to walk outside to our room. We didn't realize it was a motel. The outside was poorly lit and we felt like someone was following us. Then we heard the footsteps getting faster and there was a man running towards us just as we got to our room. we went inside and locked the door with the deadbolt. I had to use the restroom since we had been driving for hours. In the two minutes we had been in the room, I had a headache from the very strong smell of cigarette smoke. It was definitely a smoking room. I haven't been around that much smoke since I was clubbing in the '90s. As I was my hands, there were bugs crawling around in the sink and I was about to lose it. Then, my 14 year old daughter asks me what is the white stuff all over the bed skirt. THERE WAS SEMEN ON THE BEDDING!!! We immediately grabbed our things and left. Hotels.com refunded our money and we found a nice Fairfield Inn 45 min. down the road.

Clean, nice however although website still offers breakfast, due to COVID, NO breakfast!
