Smiling Cactus Villa

We had a great stay at the Villa. They provided an airport pick up & easy check in. Villa is a great space - 2 bedrooms with ensuites. Kitchen area is clean and tidy, pool is great. Location is really good, lots of restaurants, shops & spas are close by. Really quick walk to KuDeTa beach (approx 10 min walk) and a quick walk to Seminyak Square. We had a lovely breakfast made for us each morning by the friendly staff. Would happily stay here again.

This villa is a good location, close to shops and not far to the beach. Property managers met us on checkin - we were running late with Bali traffic and they waited. They provide water drums which is a great benefit, and some mossie sprays and coils. The pool temp is cold which is good for the very hot days. Some nice cultural furniture bits throughout the rooms. We didn’t have to rush out by check out time when our driver was running late.

Note this villa living space is outdoor - the 3 rooms are inside but the kitchen and living room is outdoor so not air conditioned which makes eating and relaxing in common areas hot! It also means that you can get some ‘wildlife’ coming to visit - whilst relaxing by the pool (note the pictures are not the same as the current furniture in the villa or by the pool) a rat ran past my mums feet, and there was some kind of rodent scratching inside the wall of the small bedroom - this woke me up during the nights and two nights I slept in another room as I was worried the rodent could get into the room as it was so loud and. Sounded like it was either in the bed frame or wall. Reported this to the manager who said they would check it out but didn’t. I’m aware that the rain can bring this issue but the scratching in the walls happened very frequently. Hot water for the showers either runs out after one shower (3 of us stayed here) or wasn’t hot at all. The small bedroom isn’t sealed to the outside, and is locked only by a timber slot. This was difficult as the 2 safes don’t work (reported this to the manager who said he would come around to show us how to work them but he didn’t) - there was no power or them, used the same safes in other locations so pretty sure it wasn’t user error. There is an aircon unit by the small room which makes really loud noises and keeps you awake at night. The bedsheets and towels are very dated and stained - blood and sunscreen stains. Reported this to cleaners who said it was mossie blood stains - must be big mossies. Wouldn’t normally make so many negative comments but can see this was reported a number of times in below reviews and it hasn’t been remediated since so be aware. Overall, I wouldn’t stay here again. It’s extremely overpriced for what it is, felt unsafe for leaving passports when you went out, was unclean and noisey, in my opinion.

Second time here and it’s such a great location and space. Beautiful decor.

One of the bedrooms was a bit noisy being next to the road and also I think the pool filter next door you can hear through the night.

THE HOST WERE TRYING TO DO THERE BEST. HOWEVER THE PROPERTY ITSELF IS NOT GOOD THE THIRD ROOM IS ALMOST NON EXISTANT

BATHROOMS WERE TERRIBLE. AIRCONDITIONER IN THE BEDROOM UPSTAIRS DID NTO WORK THE HOST CALLLED ELECTRITIAN T O FIX IT BUT IN THE END SAID THAT THE AC ITSSELF IS BAD QUALITY AND THEY CANT DO MUCH. THE FULSH DID NOT WORK PROPERTLY

Beautiful and spacious house near shops, stores, beach… Great location! We were 5 adults and one child and the house was perfect to relax, have some peace and fun family time. We ordered breakfast for a few days and it was yum - nasi goren, fruit and pan cakes were my fave. Every day cleaning was included - 💃🏻 Oh, also airport pick up was! And the cleaners were lovely. What I rave most is that they went above and beyond: we had our flight at 11pm to return home. They said we could stay at the villa as long as we wanted if it was not leased. And it was leased the night before our last day. They said, not to worry as we could use another villa nearby. And so we had an amazing last day. Would come back. Thanks Wayan and staff.

Great size villa for 4 people. Loved the private plunge pool and cabana. Within walking distance to Seminyak Square, the beach, and plenty of food and night life options. The owners were lovely and allowed us to check in early and check out late. Would stay again. Many thanks 🙏🏽

The water would slow to a stop some days in the bathrooms but nothing major the staff couldn’t attend too. Lots of staff coming and going due to the pool pump breaking down but they were good about it and fixed it quickly.

The property was in a great location! The staff were all so friendly and at hand with anything you needed. The property was very clean and the breakfast was very good. Felt like home away from home!!

Toilet seat in master bathroom wonky when you sit on it. Need a fan in bungalow near pool.

I like that it was walkable to convenient stores, eateries and massage places.

The tv wasn't working at the start and the toilet had a faulty flush but the friendly staff tried their best and hardest to rectify these issues as quickly as possible.

Great, simple and fresh. Very accommodating since we had an early flight home.
