Red Planet BGC The Fort

VERY DISAPPOINTING, I booked for 5 days and left after day 1. I complained to Expedia but hotel management refused to give me a refund. Issues: 1. Front Desk receptionist was very distracted & inattentive. She kept chatting with her co-worker and not focused on my check-in process. I arrived early and asked to be registered early and leave my luggages. The receptionist quickly interrupted me and stated very irately at least 3x that there are no rooms and check-in is not until 3PM. I explained that I was asking if I can be registered and leave my luggages until 3PM. Very unprofessional. 2. Room has no phone. If you need call them, you need to walk to the elevator to use the phone; imagine during emergencies. IT IS A SAFETY ISSUE. 3. Room is very small. I have 2 luggages I have to put on the bed (very unsanitary) because room is too small. 4. AC is faintly blowing cool air. I lay at the foot of the bed where the faint AC is blowing. The lobby is very comfortable, it is very deceptive --> wait until you get into your room. I stayed at the lobby most of the night because room is just not tolerable. 5. Bed sheets and towels are worn out and need replacement. Only provided two towels: floor towel and bath towel. 6. I was deceived by the excellent rating on their front webpage. Digging deeper, there were TONS of negative reviews. Hotel very defensive stating that they are a budget hotel. I did not see a notice on their webpage that they are a budget hotel. DECEPTIVE AD?

Great layover hotel option!

Hotel is centrally situated in GBC. The universal spirit of Filipino hospitality and warm smiles are truly palpable. It was a great stay.

This hotel gave the illusion online of being of a class that fits in among the other hotels located in that area. In reality, it fell far short of my expectations for the following reasons: - Very small room - TV doesn’t work. Will only allow you to mirror from your phone. - No face towels or no hand towels. - No phone in room. So I can’t call down to the front desk. - In order to have your room cleansed, you have to walk down to the front desk and request it. - There are 3 elevators, but only 2 work. And they move very slow. - No closet - No lotions - No breakfast (or food at all for that matter) - 11th floor hallway looked dirty.

I like that it was in the nice and clean part of town. There is a 7-11 and Starbucks across the street. I like that I had access to cable TV. The AC was cold. The bed is big. I like the desk and chair because I was able to do some work. I like the waterfall shower and a regular sized shower and I liked the glass divider instead of a shower curtain. The elevator was acting up a bit. It would pass our floor even when we pressed the button. I wish they had coffee and condiments; all they had was a hot pot but no coffee. There is a small refrigerator and safe.

Room was rather small, but it was clean and priced great for what was offered, no complaints other then size
