"Air con broken unbearably hot room"

Location of the hotel is great, access to centre just a short walk

The Air con was broken in the hotel, the room was unbearable, fan provided but judged pushed hot air around, windows only able to open a small amount. A sleepless night. On check out at 0730hrs nobody to complain to as the front desk was not manned. Apparently all customers informed that a free drinks voucher would be provided, but this was not received. Warning if staying in the next few days check if Air con is working

"A perfect holiday venue"

Welcoming and friendly staff. Excellent facilities, open and inviting reception area. Excellent bar and delicious drinks and lunches. I will definitely visit again.

Location. Easy parking.

The AC had broken and we weren’t told about it until after we had checked in. We also requested a twin room when we booked with Booking.com and this request was not passed on.

"Disappointing."

The location. The newly refurbished room. The friendly staff.

Air con not working and the hotel had known about this for over a week. I would have cancelled my booking and gone elsewhere if I had known as it was during the heatwave. They should have notified me in advance. The fan provided was just not enough and you can’t open the windows more than an inch. I booked a twin room but this was not honoured so given a Z-bed for my 17 year old instead. To compensate for the lack of twin I was offered complimentary breakfast and two drinks at the bar. That said, they made no mention of the lack of air con till I went back to complain later that evening. It was like it wasn’t an issue and laughed off as ‘oh we haven’t had air con in the rooms since the flood a week ago’. There was air con in the common parts of the hotel.

The breakfast was good and staff friendly

Room very dated. Air con not working and fan, although provided did not cover enough to have any real impact. Windows did not open. Stuffy and tired looking
