The Retreat at Blue Lagoon Iceland

The room is incredible, big and cosy. The entire hotel is well decorated and has amazing furniture. The lighting and cosy modern atmosphere are a plus. There is a good vibe around the afternoon tea, though very simple.

The no photo rule in the spa and pools is annoying. The spa itself is nothing exciting - the ritual is quite basic and a bit disappointing. The private pools are too quiet, narrow and less interesting than the open to the public pools. I would not pay the price again since the best part is the public area.

To say I was pampered is an understatement. Everything was incredible! Get the floating yoga massage. 😌

The location , the rooms & the spa is beautiful!!

The fact that the food was very limited, however the staff did their best to accommodate some requests they need to offer a variety of dishes for guests eating all their meals at the hotel. Also the spa doesn’t allow kids below 12 and there is no other private pool to be with the kids.. They need to have an alternate pool with kids that is not public.

This was the nicest hotel I have ever had the pleasure of visiting. It was beautiful and so nicely kept. The staff was amazing. The Blue Lagoon at The Retreat was very private and quiet. Truly amazing trip. The Retreat was $$$, but worth every penny.

Wish there was like.. a toaster oven for my bathing suit.. or a dryer. Idk honestly everything was amazing
