The Bull Inn West Tanfield

Helpful staff.

The water flow in the shower slows to a stop if more than one room is drawing water.

Evening meal was very good. Staff were friendly.

Breakfast not exceptional. Room and bathroom smaller than expected.

The food was excellent. Beef roast dinner in evening with good local beer. The Full breakfast was good too. Staff very friendly and informative. Room had everything I needed.

It is an older building so there was a bit of creaky floors and soundproofing not so good between rooms. Woke up a couple of times in night because of that noise. Next time I will bring some earplugs. Apart from that everything else was very good.

Room needed more of a clean as cobwebs around light fitting and a dead fly on window cill,plus smell of cooking fish lingers in the rooms.

Very pleasant stay in a proper pub, with character, decent food and beer, and friendly staff.

Nothing much. Only minor comment, for what it is worth - the pine furniture is a little bit dated and tired. Not a problem though.
