An absolute gem of a find is this, will stay again. Everybody made us feel welcome

The location was fabulous and the staff were lovely ; extremely friendly and all obliging and helpful. The beds were comfortable and the room was warm with refreshments provided. It was very dog friendly and there were restaurant facilities available. The breakfast was very good.

The room was cramped ,rather outdated and a bit dusty. The food on the menu was rather overpriced and unexceptional.

Was a lovely old building in a beautiful village

Shower wasn’t the best but I understand these could be being updated

We had a trip to Fountains Abbey booked for 6-8am to view one of their events. Happy for us to let ourselves out, attend the event and then return for breakfast, before check out at 10am.

Squeaky floorboards, which are expected at a building of this age. Just felt like naughty school children trying to not make a noise when alarm went off at 5am. 😛

Everything was good the breakfast the black pudding was amazing and the steak and ale pie was fantastic good location right by the river they had only taken the pub over 2weeks be for we went but u wouldn't have known would go again yes

Staff communication re room and breakfast

The Fish and chips were excellent as I was ill Nothing to do with the Bull in I was unable to eat my Chicken Tangorine which was on the specials menu Saturday but the little I had was excellent and a good portion size. The full English on the morning was great and ample for me as I requested the night before no need for food all day.
