"Very pleasant accommodation in a beautiful location"

Right on the Coast-to-Coast path, which we wanted. Our room was in the sister pub (The Three Tuns) a short distance from the main building as this was before the season it was very quiet. We note they have a pub garden downstairs at the 3 Tuns though, so that might not the case in high season. The chef was very friendly and welcoming and the meal we had, while being standard pub fare, was freshly made and tasty. Meals are over in the main pub, which is a stone's throw away and is a pleasant space. The bathroom was a good size and newly refurbished, so a pleasure to use.

Breakfast was very average and not all staff were quite as welcoming as the chef. Please just smile a little bit

There was no towel rail in the bathroom... but that's the only fault I could find and really minor.
