Hampton Inn West Springfield

The front desk and cleaning staff are very professional, friendly and helpful. Always stay at this Hampton Inn during my trip to work in the area.

Near shopping area

The room was comfortable and the bed and quilt and pillows are excellent. I with you had a nondairy milk for coffee and cereal at breakfast such as soy, oat, or almond milk.

We had a fun time. Some housekeepers refused to provide us with towels even though we did not need their service. The breakfast was not the greatest and the male service was terrible, NOT VERY FRIENDLY AND WAS EYEING US THE ENTIRE TIME MAKING our toast and serving ourselves

Only issue is housekeeping knocking on my door before i got up.

Breakfast was not as good as we would have liked. Chicken sausage just does not make it.

Showing it’s age, but a very pleasant stay. The surrounding area could certainly be better, but the hotel staff and overall comfort of the room were very good here! What the hotel might be lacking in physical charm is made up by the warmness of staff and the usual Hampton perks you would expect, like a decent breakfast. Also, parking is free again — it appears they were charging for that last year, but have abandoned that practice.

Our room was fine. The outdoor pool deck could have been cleaner, it was like someone forgot to check outside. My puzzlement is actually with the builder, as it seems like they weren’t considering the people using the rooms. The wall facing the outside had a closet, a desk, and a tiny window. Why not move the furniture to an interior wall, perhaps on the other side of the bathroom and create more window space? The kicker was the toilet. I don’t think the person installing the counter talked to the toilet person. The flush handle is in an awkward crevice. Perhaps they switched toilets and had imagined a front facing handle? In addition, someone installed the toilet paper on the far side of the sink, an arm’s length away. Not convenient for little kids - they have to hop off the toilet. Why not reinstall it on the near side of the sink where it’s closer? See photos.

The Hampton Inn West Springfield was okay for a short stay. The staff was friendly and check-in was easy. The room was clean, but a bit dated and could use some updates. Breakfast was decent but got crowded and some items ran out. The location is convenient, but highway noise was noticeable at night. Overall, not bad, but not great either.
