Four Points by Sheraton Kalamazoo

We were completely disappointed and disgusted by our stay here. We checked in and asked if we could get a shuttle ride to WMU game the following day but were told the bus doesn’t go anywhere. The hotel has asked corporate to move it but they haven’t. Carpets in common areas were filthy. We had a washcloth either from a prior guest or the cleaning crew left in our bathroom. No operable ice machines. Just a barrel with a scoop in the lobby! Towels were thread bare. We were supposed to stay 2 nights but we left after one. This is a hotel to avoid. And we paid $170 for that miserable night! Can you say grossly over-priced?

The check in clerk was not a happy person. The regular coffee pod for the room was twice the size for the maker. And never did get any additional pods when room was cleaned. Now the bar tender - he was very friendly and considerate. He made wonderful drinks and the food was great.

Stayed here for the night while in town dropping my daughter off for college. It’s about 25 minutes from campus, which I didn’t realize, but the staff was friendly, rooms were clean, breakfast, which was included with my status but otherwise $15 was really good, and the bar, although small, had a handful of people gathered around and an attentive bartender. Would stay again.
