Hotel Theo New Orleans, Tapestry Collection by Hilton

First of all, I am very objective with regard of writing a review or answering a survey questionnaire. As a Hilton diamond member I didn’t feel valued as a customer, they gave me a room with no windows I felt like I was staying in a box and it was very claustrophobic. I asked if we can change rooms and I got a response from Mary that the hotel is sold out and she can’t move me to a different room not until Monday and we checked in Saturday. Second of all, the hot water stop working midday so you’ll end up taking a cold shower. The vault was not working so we can’t secure our valuables. The staff were not really hospitable toward their guests and it seems like they were always on their cell phone. If you are planning to workout this hotel doesn’t have a gym but they have partnership with Downtown Fitness. If you think this boutique hotel is comparable to a boutique hotel in Amsterdam, Belgium or Paris you might just get disappointed. For the price point it’s not worth staying at this hotel.

Quiet hotel. Nice rooms and staff. Very clean.

Clean, well maintained property with friendly service located within an easy 15 minute walk from French Quarter. Has a cafeteria with light meals and coffee on the same property. Many restaurants nearby. We stayed there during Mardi Gras and there was some late night noise from the street, however we had no trouble falling asleep.

The bed was definitely comfortable.. The location and view were cool!

The cleaning person failed to retrieve our trash from the restroom .. there was a raisin left in the shower behind the complimentary bar soap.. that was weird and awkward.. the hot water did not work in our room. There had to be three requests made to the front desk before it was actually maintenanced.. the room smelled of pickles and that is weird as well. Ooooh and the kicker.. I literally dropped my car to the valet the first night upon arrival and had to valet my OWN car on multiple occasions. No point in valeting your car if you have to valet your own vehicle. -_- all in all.. Never again.

Gym wasn't operational... Not that we'd have used it after all this walking in town!

The spaciousness of the rooms was appealing, however 1 of our rooms did not have a window. The staff were extremely helpful in letting us choose which rooms we preferred(we needed 3 rooms). The free breakfast which was why we chose the Magnolia(now Hotel Theo) was delicious & the staff very courteous

We really loved the character of the hotel. The staff was super friendly and respectful. With that character came a few challenges. We reserved three rooms for our sray.We arrived Friday night just before a forecasted cold snap Sunday evening. The guest elevators were not working. We were escorted through the hotel operations area to the service elevator and taken to our rooms. The staff had us leave our luggage downstairs with the front desk and they brought our luggage to us. The rooms were warm and they could not be cooled because the system had been switched over to heating. One of the three rooms was unbearably hot. The staff switched rooms for us but it was still to stuffy. We canceled that room and booked our friends in another hotel two blocks away. The hotel was a great location. The staff did everything they could to accommodate our needs.

Restaurant didn't seem open most of the time. Doors from lobby were always closed.
