Inn at the Gorge

Property is not being maintained.

This is a scam! Do not book this place. We prepaid, flew all the way to Portland, drove out to hood river and the place is abandoned! They even sent a confirmation email for our stay. We had to scramble to find housing. We are currently trying to get our money back from the credit card company ($1700!). Their phone is disconnected, you cannot contact them. TripAdvisor should take this place down. They are actively taking reservations, taking money, and are not an operating business.

Nothing.

We were called on Monday before our reservation informing us that the Inn at the Gorge could not honor our reservation. They were bankrupt & closed. Have to file through credit card to get our money back.

Nothing. It was closed without notice even though I had reservation.

I didn’t like that they were closed without notifying me. I was in town for work and was left with no place to stay.

Stay away! On April 30 we found the building abandoned. I'm out $700. These people belong in jail.

This place took my reservation and money but is no longer a working inn. Showed up this past Friday night after driving all day with my mother for a girls weekend to find a house in complete disarray and no way to enter. Looking through the windows we saw a kitchen with all its cabinet an opened and drawers pulled out. The room we had booked had a bed that wasn’t made and bathroom with toilet paper rolled all over it (as seen through looking through windows). Overgrowth on the lawn, debris everywhere on the porch, mail piled up. Tried calling the number provided in the text messages and emails I was still being sent only to find a full voice mail box. When I try to email, the email bounced back to me saying the domain doesn’t exist. I am now working with my credit card company to get my money back. And thank goodness the Hampton Inn had vacancies and were able to accommodate us for the weekend.

I haven’t actually stayed at the Inn at the Gorge. I’ve been trying to cancel a reservation I made with them in February for this coming summer and they have had ZERO response. I’ve left messages by email, text and phone. Their phone mailbox is full now, btw. I’m leaving a review because others should know how difficult this has been - beware! I paid the full price for the rooms already, and now I’m trying to figure out what steps are next. Ugh!

No bathroom ensuite.

I put alot of planning into my 2 weeks along the Oregon Coast. Being well rested and getting an early start to my day were priorities. Putting us out day before learning there is no breakfast was disappointing. I booked based on the b& b idea. The room was not comfortable, no seating except a bench that was placed under tv..not facing tv. I was looking forward to the bed and breakfast feel.. this failed in all levels. I was never greeted upon arival or anytime since I arrived. I tried co tacti g owner night i arrived and next morning..no response.. There are beatiful places to stay in Hood River..look for them!
