Inn at the Gorge

Stayed in the terrace room. A little chilly with a plug in space heater. Breakfast was the highlight.

Breakfast was fantastic

Tiny bathroom could only be accessed through breakfast room. The shower grout and curtain were moldy, the shower control fell off, there was no soap and hardly any shampoo. There was no headboard for the bed so the pillows fell off. Tired room.

House has lots of character, Victoria and the chef were great. Bathroom VERY dirty. I don't think the back patio has been cleaned for weeks.Signage could be updated to look professional (Not a marker) For the price I would stay somewhere else. We had to ask for shampoo and hand soap. No coffee in tin. The breakfast was amazing!

Pay place, hot tub was amazing. Place was clean and well kept. Staff very friendly. House very quiet and had a solid nights rest.

A really quaint and lovely place to stay. Within an easy hour drive from Portland airport and in the great town of Hood River. We stayed in the Secret Room and had a fantastic time. The room was super comfy and spacious and had lots of nice little touches to make it feel homely. There was a great choice of cooked to order breakfasts, including frittata and savoury crepes after homemade granola and parfait. The staff were really friendly and attentive. There is a veranda to sit out on in the evening and even a hot tub. Hood River is a really nice place to explore the Columbia River Gorge, with lots of things to do in the area like cycling the fruit loop, exploring waterfalls, and sampling the breweries.

Inn at the Gorge is located in a historic building. The room was cute, eclectic art decor. The bed and pillows were so comfortable. Our hostess was amazing, she greeted us when we arrived, had an endless supply of chocolate chip cookies available in the lobby, greeted us cheerfully in the morning. The breakfast was amazing and filling. The only down side to our room (we stayed in the Gorge Room) was that the bathroom was separate from our room- we had to cross the dining area to reach it. Well one night we did not have airconditioning. The breakfasts were very good. There were no tissues in the bathroom or our room. The coffee and tea could have been put out earlier.
