Four Seasons Resort Rancho Encantado Santa Fe

Dinner/drinks with friends, it's nearby and accessible, however NO WOW. Cocktails are great but overpriced when it's not happy hour. Our dinner was outside the bar, noticeably smaller portions and higher prices, and food quality just okay?

Tucked in the mountain side, the 4 C's Resort Rancho is located 10 miles beyond the fringe of central Santa Fe. I relished my Vista Casita, an abode styled accommodation with large windows, kiva styled fireplace. The private terraces was nifty as well as the polished cement floors and bath with deep soaking tub and heated floors. The Terra is a fine dining eatery serving cuisine with a southwestern flair. The menu is filled with creative dishes the likes of: Spanish Octopus, Lamb T Bone and a Saturday Special of Elk Osso Bucco and more. I loved my Pork Belly, Corn Chowder, Sea Bass and for my sweet tooth, The Blueberry Cashew Cheesecake. There is a huge modern fitness center that houses a movement studio that offers yoga classes and an outdoor heated pool are part of the activity perks provided. A luxurious extra special spa provides treatments that range from the usual suspects to special Mountain Purification rituals. I selected the Sacred Stone Massage that melted away the stresses incurred from my hiking experience. So, if you are looking for a resort that feels like an oasis in a desert landscape................ .........then try the..........4 C's Resort Rancho............ a serene atmosphere with breath-taking views.

Fantastic trip for a girl's spa weekend. Everything was exceptional -- only flaw is that the wifi and cell service is spotty at best. However, if you are going to unplug and rewind -- that can work in your favor! Forced us to truly step away from everyday lives and just relax. Hotel staff is fantastic! Friendly, helpful and kind. Beds are to die for! Food was incredible. Definitely go back!

One of the best resort hotels we have had the pleasure of visiting. I cannot recommend this hotel strongly enough!

Gorgeous landscape, year round pool, super friendly staff

This is paradise. The staff is exquisite and attentive. The food is outstanding at Terra and their location is pure.

I’ve stayed at 18 different Four Seasons properties around the world. This one is just not worthy of the Four Seasons name. I don’t even know how to explain it - maybe it was just because we came in January, and maybe that’s a rotten time to come. Starting with an unbelievably foul methane smell right at the front desk, to agonizingly slow service in the bar, to no-show services that were offered,…….it was just a not-good experience. Even great hotels get it wrong sometimes, so I’m just going to assume this was one of those times. It seemed like it just wasn’t meant to be. We won’t be back, and we suggest if you are going, do it some other time than January. Just bein’ honest.

Food was horrible. Room service was mediocre.

Everything and everyone was excellent. But for environment conscientious guests it was a disappointment that they did not give the opportunity to let the guests decide to reuse towels and bed linens, there was no recycle waste basket in the room and in the restaurant and bar they are still using plastic straws...
