"Won’t be back"

Booked a double bed, go 2 singles and on a 28 degrees day walked into the room and the heater was on 28 degrees. Staff on that shift were very unhelpful

"Lovely building, great location and good service, but the place could do with a renovation inside."

Great location, beautiful old building. Great service.

I know the building is old- but as a high end hotel you still expect certain standards. The shower was awful- took nearly 10 mins to heat up and then couldn’t get it to stay warm consistently, the floor boards were squeaky, and you could hear just about everything. They were filming a movie there during my stay- the guests weren’t informed and it was quite disruptive.

It was lovely to finally stay at the Windsor. I'm in my mid 60's and lived in Melbourne all my life. This was my first opportunity and hopefully not my last! The hotel has done well to keep up with the times. Everything is provided - including Wifi and internet. The rooms are very comfortable

I was there for a wedding (Mother of the Groom). During morning bridal preparations (hair, makeup etc.) the Bride and Bridesmaids needed some sustenance as the ceremony was not until 3.00pm. We tried to organise some room service but this was not available until 4pm. So I (with a couple of bridesmaids) went down to reception to inquire about organising some sandwiches or other food, but were informed that there was no food available. So someone had to go down to 7-Eleven and buy some food and drinks. This was very disappointing.

Location, history and reputation of the building

It needs a good renovation, very old and in need of new carpets, paint etc. It smells old and musty

Beautiful hotel, perfect location and delicious breakfast

Only one issue…the pillows are horrible! They provide no support at all. Overheard other guests making the same observation. Unfortunate as otherwise a perfect stay.
