Hampton Inn Rockford

To bad the pool wasn't working, could have used a nice swim before going to bed. Over all a nice hotel.

No clock in the room No microwave No WiFi unless you are a Hilton member. No counter space in bathroom Bathroom tiny. Shampoo dispenser empty Hand soap dispenser almost empty. Very small bedside table. Made reservation for an accessible room. Did not get one. Got a hearing accessible room instead - far walk from elevator, heavy door, hard to get into room with walker, have to walk into bathroom to close door while trying to get into room with a walker for 94 yr old mother. No room for walker to move around in the room. Not a walk in shower. No one answers front desk when I called. The only light on the desk does not work. Had to get it replaced. Carpet dirty in room and all throughout the building. Hallways smell. Room musty. No plates at breakfast. Coffee Luke warm. Oatmeal was cold. No reg coffee on second day. No gluten free options. Other hotels, cheaper hotels offer the gluten free option at breakfast. Breakfast totally unimpressive. Reviews said breakfast was really good but we found it very lacking. The pool and hot tub were out of order. I chose this hotel also because it had a pool. Most unhappy hotel experience.

Ok at best, but not like any Hampton we've stayed at. Dirty, stained worn carpet in room, halls, elevators. Speaking of which, only 1 elevator out of 2 worked. Toilet dirty, kleenex had been pulled out & then stuffed back in container, all in a bunched up wad, was hoping none used. Bed uncomfortable, window in our room & elsewhere (like at end of hall) dirty. Towels very small, thin & very scratchy. Understaffed everywhere, felt bad for people working there. "Business center" chair wouldn't sell at a garage sale. All this for $172

Rooms were absolutely filthy and run down, but management was accommodating and understanding when the issue was raised.

The breakfast attendent could have been more cognizant of items running low and to restock/refill

Stayed in room 318. Carpeting in room needs cleaning. No microwave and told some rooms have them, some don’t. Offered to use one on first floor but it was dirty. Carpet in elevator dirty. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was clean.

Room was clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet was tasty and there were enough food selections. I was disappointed that the indoor pool and the hot tub were out of service. I had been looking forward to using them.
