Sanga Nikko

Our two-night stay at Sanga Nikko was simply exceptional. Yoshi and his wife made our time in Nikko unforgettable, we’re leaving with so many beautiful memories. The room and the house were spotless, the welcome incredibly warm, and every single tip and recommendation they shared made our experience even more special. Their kindness and attention to detail truly touched us that I almost had tears in my eyes when it was time to say goodbye. Our time in Nikko was definitely a highlight of our trip to Japan, thanks to them. We sincerely hope to come back soon and definetely recommend to stay here 100%. Thank you again for the stay.

Yoshi and his wife take a very personal approach to welcoming guests to their very comfortable home in Nikko. Rooms are spacious, very clean and well equipped. You may use the shared living room and kitchen. Yoshi takes time to provide you with very valuable travel tips for your stay in Nikko. He is extremely friendly and goes out of his way to help you e.g. by offering lifts. You even get photographs taken in his studio!

What a lovely stay we had in Sanga Nikko! Yoshi & Rie are dreamhosts, so warm and thoughtful. They did everything in their power to help us and make our stay unforgettable. Yoshi gave us the best tips for a wonderful hike in the Nikko National Park. He even drove us to the station and helped us figure out the coin lockers. We felt so appreciated as their guests. The room was so clean, with very comfortable beds. We were invited to use a complimentary coffee and fruit service. If you look for a typical Japanese stay with a lovely family, we really advice you to book a room at Sanga Nikko!

I cannot say enough nice things about the kindness and consideration of hosts Yoshi and Rie. Their home is infused with love and everything is so nicely and considerately organized. It was raining on the day and Yoshi was willing to meet at the station even though the walk to their home is barely three minutes. It is so convenient!! The check-in was so orderly and maps and bus schedules were at the ready and lots of suggestions. Yoshi speaks fluent English. They are vegan and breakfast was cold simple healthy fare, which was perfectly fine for simple Coffee Drinker Me in the am. My friend brought her own oats to prepare. Nespresso machine is awesome!! The bedroom was very spacious and comfie. The shower rooms, WCs and sinks were spotless and easy to access. Was absolutely spectacular for a small personalized guesthouse!!

I can’t begin to describe how wonderful our experience was. First the home and surrounding town and nature are beautiful. Second the kindness of the owners of this place will stay with me forever. Thanks again for helping us plan to see the best of Nikko and for going out of your way to make us feel at home. And thank you running all the way to the store and buying a heating pad for my girlfriend’s injured knee without us even asking - such kindness. We will be back!

Everything, very closed to the train station by walk and bus terminal. The house is marvellous and very confortable. But the special if you book here is the kindness of Yoshi and Rei. Yoshi have many advises for visiting Nikko. Even if they do no have breakfast, they have prepared some hot beverages, granolas, snack and fresh fruit for our very early departure! Thank you so much
