Homewood Suites by Hilton Kansas City/Overland Park

The breakfast was delightful, the rooms were clean (my son said "this is like a house daddy!" and compared to the hotels we had stayed in prior it did!). My wife expecially enjoyed the chicken tortillas for breakfast.

The stench of overly perfumed air poured out of the front lobby. It immediately gave me a headache and I prayed our room would NOT smell the same. It was less but still wreaked. Eating the breakfast downstairs wasn’t an option either which is always part of the reason we stay here. If you are SENSITIVE TO SMELLS, this place will be difficult for you. It smells like the worst possible poop spray you’ve ever smelled then combine it with the worst old lady perfume you’ve ever smelled. I am disappointed that someone in a corporate position would think this aroma is welcoming or healthy.

I loved having a separate sleeping area. It was nice for those who wanted to go to bed earlier and the others could stay up later. The hotel was very clean, but the pool area was a little small. Breakfast was good for a hotel Breakfast, and had a variety of options. The area around the hotel had good food options, but it was kind of far for things downtown Kansas City attractions.

I liked the separate bedrooms. I wish each had an individual thermostat instead of it controlling the entirety of the space. The toilet paper was very poor quality. The breakfast was good and coffee was available throughout the day. I like that you are able to sign in to streaming apps on the tv. The hotel is very well situated to the highway and several restaurants and shopping areas.

This place was amazing and I will have to remember to book with Homewood Suites for any of my future extended stays. The place was impeccably clean, both in our room and the whole facility. The laundry room, pool and lobby were great and inviting. The staff was PHENOMENAL! Every staff member I encountered from the front desk, to cleaning staff, to breakfast staff, EVERYONE there was super nice and helpful. I was impressed.

Good tables for poker and comfy pillows a lot of nice views and amazing snacks for the trip. Good WiFi and provides snacks as in water and chips

All in all a good stay. The bathroom tub squeaking was super annoying to those still sleeping. The doors and trim could use some paint and fixing. We were staying with family and we had reserved two rooms for grandparents/children and grandchildren and we were placed in rooms on different floors, when we asked the front desk at check-in if we could have rooms on the same floor, the desk clerk didn't even look or attempt to find rooms on the same floor, she just said no. Other family was placed in the separate tower so you had to go down to the first floor, walk across the lobby and back up the elevator, that is kind of annoying, so beware if you are reserving multiple rooms and want them to be together.
