Hotel Luna

I loved the look of the property, it is a little dated, but has charm. Great staff and absolute great location if u like too be in the mix.

It’s a beautiful building and the decor is fantastic. However, our room faced the jardín and there were at least three groups of banda and a mariachi playing until 12:30. Then the DJ kicked in. The music was great but I was trying to sleep. The service in the restaurant was poor, our server was hanging out outside with the bands.

It was awkward, the front desk manager was very rude. The service is deficient.

There were no tv service. Stairs are complicated for elders, no elevator.

Very nice hotel

When we arrived to the hotel, they gave us a stuffy room without a window and very old bedding, the front desk guy said this is what you get for being cheap and Booking on Expedia. I don’t book with a Expedia to save money we do it for the convenience. We have been to Guanajuato over a dozen times and stayed at very nice Hotels that were half the price but I tried to surprise my wife with a room on the plaza she likes big mistake.The hotel does have a very nice restaurant and the food is very good. The only thing you should book at hotel Luna is a reservation for there restaurant.

Location is excellent but standard rooms are disappointing. The room I was given on my arrival was on the ground level (I requested a room in a higher level), and I was surprised that there was no window in the room. Next day, I was moved to a higher-floor room (the one that originally assigned to me but because of a water problem was not available at my arrival). This room was smaller than the first one and it had a small window that opened to the hall (interior) of the hotel. The iron did not work well as it heavily leaked water. I was told that because of the location, the television only works with Netflix, YouTube and other local wi-fi applications. Breaksfast service and quality was excellent but be sure to leave a tip in cash so that the waiter treats you well the next day.

The stay and staff were great overall, I believe it may have just been the room we were put in that brought my rating sown. I would make sure to review the room information as our room (19) was very strangely located near staff work rooms, it felt a bit intrusive on our part as we could hear them having conversations about work. Because there are no photos of the individual rooms booked, it was a bit of a surprise based on the photos that are shared. The location is amazing, very convenient and walkable. We also enjoyed the breakfast that was included with the stay. The only issue would be the room we got. It was in a weird subfloor behind the front desk, next to the public restrooms. We stayed for two nights and one night the hallway outside the room had flooded and we had to step through it to get into our room. The room is also very cavernous, with no windows or source of natural light.

All was good, except that the beds are hard...besides that, we felt safe and hotel is cute.cute.
