Ratan Vilas, Jodhpur

I spent 5 nights at Ratan Vilas and highly recommend this beautiful place. The host and the staff made our stay very comfortable. The rooms are excellent. Cleanliness tops the list. Food is great. Breakfast was a well thought wide spread. Every member of the staff was very humble and well trained. Special thanks to the host for personally attending to our needs. Looking forward for a future stay for sure.

Absolutely perfect hotel. Worth every penny and more. It has character, class and the service is the best ever. Nothing is too much trouble your every wish anticipated but the staff manage to remain in the background. Would stay here for ever.

Absolutely nothing

The property is an attractive sandstone art deco period structure just off the main strip of a busy Jodphur. The beautiful bedrooms are clean and well appointed and bathroom with deep set granate bath a luxury to enjoy. Dinner with live music under the stars was delicious and lovely. Thanks to the staff for a great 2 night stay.

The breakfast is okay but not memorable. The pool like most hotels is not in step with a busy tourists schedule (early start to avoid the heat of mid day) and only opens at 8am (cleaning it before) so we could only use it in the evening.

Set back from the main road and a short tul tuk ride from the heart of the old town Ratan Villas is peaceful base to explore Jodphur from. The architecture is stunning and oozes history and the rooms and gardens immaculately looked after. Dinner in the hotel restaurant was very good and the live music on the days we stayed provided by a particularly accomplished traditional musician.

It's the most beautiful hotel. Gentile and the staff are truly wonderful. Our room was gorgeous, the pool is wonderful and the dining exceptional.

Another great stay at Ratan Vilas It’s just simply perfection When we arrive as repeat guests we are treated like royalty and always meet with the owners a delightful couple who are 4th generation of the Maharaja The building is visually stunning with beautiful well kept gardens and a quiet pool area The hotel inside is furnished with antiques and quality comfortable furniture and their attention to detail is wonderful Our room was immaculately clean with quality bedding and soft furnishings The staff team are a real asset at the hotel, they are attentive, friendly and helpful in all area of the hotel We had the most perfect stay Thank Thank you Thank you
