Ratan Vilas, Jodhpur

We stayed here for two days on our way round Rajasthans golden triangle. This is an amazing place to visit and stay. It has a modern opulence with a vintage history as it used to be a family home that they turned into a hotel. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and the food is fantastic, we met and chatted to the owner and his wife who were just charming. They explained how they chained their home into a hotel and there plans for the future. We would definitely come back.

We have been travelling from New Delhi and the Haveli and hotels have been getting better and better this place was excellent room was large and clean and the shower was perfect The breakfast had a wide selection of fruits indian continental options absolutely a great experience We had an evening meal there as well which was excellent quality and value for money The staff were amazing too The swimming pool and grounds were perfect and towels supplied. I really don't know what to say because it was so good

Top notch hospitality paired with majestic feels!! I was here with my wife on our first wedding anniversary. Ratan Vilas stands out in terms of every aspect - the royal and vintage aesthetics, vibrant colours, quaint and serene ambience, impeccably neat and tidy, a very satisfying mix of luxury and relaxation. The room was spacious and housed all essentials. The bathroom was like another big room and well maintained. The compound feels straight out of a shoot location and all your photos will come out superb in any corner you choose. Special thanks to the staff - Mr. Hari (or Harish), Jaipal to name a few, along with their team, made our anniversary special by arranging for a cake and candlelight setup with flowers. Very warm and friendly. Overall a very memorable experience at this one of a kind property in Jodhpur.

PERFECTION! Ratan Vilas is absolutely the most divine and magical place I think I have ever stayed anywhere in the world and I've traveled a lot! Where to begin? From the moment you enter the property, you feel like you are stepping back in time and are treated like royalty. Considering this was the Maharaja's home, and now being run by the 4th generation of the Maharaja you feel like they are treating you as if you are a part of the royal family. The immaculate grounds are so stunning...from the structure itself, to the restored antiques, to the beautifully upholstered chairs, to the sweet benches, to the gorgeous flower arrangements and finally to the serene pool. The entire hotel and grounds are classy and charming, elegant and luxurious as well as what I think is most impressive about Ratan, is they are pulling all of this off while still being understated and unpretentious. Incredible! It really feels like you are stepping back in time to a regal and royal time. My daughter and I loved it so much we spent an entire day just at the property. We didn't want to leave! Our beautiful room was large and stylishly decorated and could not have been cleaner. I loved the indigo block printed window treatments, the blue upholstered chairs in the sitting area, the throw pillows on the bed and the bed runners (we had twin beds). Everything was so divinely decorated. The room is stocked with everything you could possibly need. You can tell they are attentive to every single detail in the rooms and on the property. Also worth mentioning since this is India, our room was super quiet! What makes this place extra extra special is the entire staff were all so kind, attentive and helpful. They are hospitable with a capital H! From the warm welcome, to breakfast, to anywhere on the property, we were always greeted with a warm smile. I didn’t catch all their names but did speak with Harish who also wanted to ensure we had a perfect stay (WE DID!). We met the owners (husband and wife) and they were both so gracious. It feels like they are welcoming you into their home which in essence they are because they live on the property. I will be coming back if for no other reason than to just stay at Ratan Vilas. Really my favorite hotel in the world. Thank you to the wonderful staff and owners for creating such a magical place and granting us such a memorable experience. Your place will forever be in our hearts. 🙏🏼

Eine wunderschöne Atmosphäre in einem alten hochherrschaftlichen Wohnpalast. Tolles, aufmerksames Personal. Gutes, wenn auch nicht überragendes Frühstück. Ein schönes klassisches Zimmer, sehr komfortabel. Die komplette Anlage mit den Innenhöfen hat ein tolles authentisches Flair und auch der Pool ist schön groß und toll angelegt.

Das Restaurant außen hat eine schöne Atmosphäre, innen etwas kühl und langweilig.

Lovely clean spacious room with big bathroom very spacious. Beautiful grounds & clean swimming pool. Good food Was able to walk to a roof top bar nearby. Stayed here 8 years ago & still just as good.

WiFi a bit patchy Jug of water at breakfast would be nice.

We had a very nice stay. The dinner was Indian style and full of flavor, truly delicious and beautifully prepared. The pool area looked lovely and inviting, even though we didn’t take a dip this time. Breakfast was served buffet-style with a good variety of both continental and Indian options, which we really appreciated. A very pleasant experience overall.

Everything was great and we didn’t have any major issues during our stay.
