Really beautiful hotel. Clean, nice rooms, good restaurant, good service - almost perfect. And it would be perfect if we did not have a barking dog under our window for 2 nights, room 106 is to be avoided. There is housing behind the hotel and, no luck, one of the houses had a dog that barked really non-stop for the 2 nights we were there. We did ask the staff to address the issue, nothing was done after the first night, hence 2 sleepless lights. The management was nice to make a gesture at the check out - well appreciated. Yet we would prefer to fully enjoy our stay in your nice hotel and wake up all rested up in the morning. Suggestion to travelers : refuse the rooms in the back - ask for pool facing rooms.

Easily the best place we stayed during our India trip. Everything was top notch - the staff were brilliant, the food was excellent, and the rooms were lovely. The whole vibe was really special, especially at dinner time. We really didn't want to leave.

We loved Ratan Vilas! Our room was huge, overlooking the beautiful pool. Everywhere was spotless and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food was excellent. Our favourite stay!

This is certainly our favourite hotel in India, so far. It is set back from the road in the heart of the city and we walked through a lovely garden to the reception. The welcome was warm and personal and we enjoyed continuing excellent service from everyone throughout our 3 night stay. Best we have had in India. We also had a wonderful, large comfortanble, quiet room, with some confy seats on a veranda, just outside. The bed was luxurious. We enjoyed great food in both the indoor and outdoor areas of the restaurant. We also had a swim and a massage, which was rejuvenating after much travelling. This place is fabulous!
