Property Notes

Guests are advised that dogs should be kept on a lead at all times due to the free-range horses and animals around the property. Cats and other pets cannot be accommodated at the property. Directions: Follow the road out of Barmouth for about a mile. When you pass the Llanaber sign look for the property sign on the right hand side of the road. Follow the driveway to the top where you will find your cottage. If using a GPS device, please be aware that the local toll bridge (Penmaenpool) is often closed. If you get stuck go back towards Dolgellau and follow the signs to Barmouth. The final turn into Ceilwart Lane using a GPS device is incorrect (turn the opposite way).Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation. This property does not accommodate bachelor(ette) or similar parties. A deposit may be required at the property.

The beautiful views over sea. Very peaceful and relaxing. Hosts were great. Loved feeding the chickens. Short drive into Barmouth lovely place. Visit to Harlech castle approx 10 Mile drive away.

"Wonderful Penty Mochyn Stay"

Delightful accommodation in peaceful surroundings enabled us to have a wonderful break in Barmouth. We stopped in Penty Mochyn for a week in mid-January, and had a great time. We were provided with informative correspondence prior to our arrival by our hosts Jan & Mick, who were genuinely friendly and welcoming. They were so helpful with advice on local amenities and places to visit - including the shortcut directly to the beach! Our holiday barn was first-class, spotlessly clean, modern and relaxing; the view out to the sea was superb. We enjoyed an excellent holiday and Penty Mochyn is definitely highly recommended!

"Exceptional"

Booked for New Year's Eve for family of 4 plus 2 dogs. The location was perfect for us, the views amazing. The accommodation was also perfect and well appointed, with literally everything you could ever need there. The hosts were lovely, and had really thought of how to make the stay perfect. Would 100% recommend and we will return at some point (especially as it was where I proposed to my future wife).

Absolutely nothing, everything was spot on.

"Beautiful Wales and Beautiful Welcome"

Location with chickens in the back garden, horses nearby and views of the sea were fabulous. It was about 7 minutes walk down to the beach, Just turn right down the sea wall and down a ramp onto the beach. When the tide on that part was higher it was a couple of minutes drive into town or about 2km walk to a beach that was never covered with sea. There are some fabulous places to eat and the Castles and Abbeys generally accept dogs, and a brilliant cafe with views at Harlech.

I could say the weather as we had plenty of rain at times but there is no such thing as bad weather just the wrong clothing. It's mid Wales, in October you are not going to go expecting carribbean summers. And the view constantly changes with the weather.

"5 star view but that’s were the 5 star ends"

5 star view

No ventilation it was like a greenhouse we had a good week of weather so didn’t help but even still no way of ventilating, wasn’t allowed to open roof windows, bad smell in kitchen cupboards , bed and sofa very uncomfortable
