Hotel Dann Avenida 19 Bogota

Older hotel, but nice.

We had a great time at the Hotel Dann during our time in Bogota. It was within walking distance to most of the attractions we wanted to see during our stay. The staff were incredible! They were so polite and helpful, and tried their best to answer any questions understanding that we only spoke english. The shuttle to the airport was very reasonable, it was the same price as an uber (and much cheaper than the previous hotel's shuttle service we had taken in the Zona Rosa district). The food at the breakfast was warm, plentiful, and the eggs were cooked based on your order. We were initially hesitant because we had read some reviews about staying in this neighbourhood but we didn't experience any issues. We weren't out incredibly late but would walk to and from different places for dinner. It's like any large city, but it seemed like being aware and cautious worked fine for us. There are also plenty of restaurants and some pubs that are within such a short walking distance (less than 5 minutes), that you wouldn't need to worry about walking around too much.

Staff was very nice however the place is located in the center of the city , a lot of traffic , the area isn’t the safest either. Some updates to this hotel would be great. This area it’s close to Mount walking distance about 15-20 walk.

The personnel seemed genuinely concerned with customers. The carpet in my room really needed to be updated. My room had no air conditioner and no heater so I was cold and hot some days.

We stayed here predominantly as it suited our budget and was in a good location considered "safer" although when our taxi pulled up outside next to what I think is a sex shop we were incredibly dubious. Once inside, it's clean and spacious and really rather nice for the money you pay. Staff are friendly and more than happy to help although with limited English so top up on your Spanglish! Breakfast could certainly be better but otherwise it was a good little find! Super good value, nothing luxurious but it did the job and was clean and comfortable which is what counts! So much room available as well and working tvs!

This place was great!! Food was awesome!!! The staff was awesome!! The rooms were awesome!! I would go back again.

Stayed here for 2 nights to start our South American travels. Front desk staff was friendly but did not speak English which made it difficult to seek help. Our room had no heat or hot water and quite small. Breakfast is nothing special either. Location is prime which was convenient.

I like this property as safe and security. It's nice and simple, not fancy at all.
