Haus, Lage und Einrichtung sind überwältigend schön. Die freundliche Gastgeberin ist charmant und aufmerksam. Das warme Frühstück wird auf Wunsch zusammengestellt. Zusätzlich gibt es noch ein umfangreiches Müsli-Büffet mit viel frischem Obst.

Die Zimmer im Dachgeschoss sind mit Klettern erreichbar, man sollte allerdings nicht zuviel Gepäck dabei haben. Aber das eine Ensemble besteht aus Wohn- und Schlafzimmer und einem riesigen Bad. Ist toll eingerichtet. Man muss wegen der Dachschrägen etwas auf seinen Kopf aufpassen.

"Met our needs but really a car would have made a huge difference to our 3 night stay"

Location at high point in Ulverston. House manager exceptional and looked after us well. Breakfast the best ever.

The low ceilings in top room not user friendly for tall people. Car is essential as no handy buses. Maybe acceptable for hikers …. No taxi at railway station mid afternoon but obtained by phone call. Not greeted or encountered by elderly owners at any time.
