Nice cooked breakfast and selection of food.

Room in attic roof too low down in many places toilet tight squeeze .Room very musty smell too much clutter for a guest facility . Needs declutterring and a proper clean. Stairs should be mentioned a lot of them .

What a hidden gem. Definitely read the 'how to get there once you arrive in Ulverston instructions'. Once I was there I didn't want to leave! Think, old country house and so comfortable! The breakfast was a feast!

Just to let visitors know that the entrance to St Mary's comes as a surprise. I was fine with it - but I mention the need to read the arrival instructions because it is a tight turn which I wasn't aware of - because I didn't read the instructions- my bad.

I have stayed in a LOT of B&B's and can say this is an absolute gem. The service was excellent , such a friendly welcome. The breakfast spread was exceptional with a real attention to detail. The house was beautiful, and was in a nice area away from the towns noisy centre. The banana bread was the best I've ever had !! This is one of those occasions when you pay a bit more and it is REALY worth it. My friends stayed in the middle of town and the music stopped at 3am !!

The breakfast was especially delicious, in a very relaxed and friendly environment. We got a very warm welcome, and the lady that was the point of contact was so friendly and helpful. The building is in a very quite area of Ulverston, about 10 min walk out of town (if that?) but a very pleasant walk and it felt like a very picturesque area of Ulverston. The place felt very homely, quite old fashioned decor but very comfortable and smart.

The only thing to mention was there could have been more tables in the breakfast room, as people sometimes had to share tables or wait for a table just for two.. this wasn't a problem as all the guests were lovely, but I guess this could be an issue for some people. But, table layout did make sense for the size of the room, and the lady serving breakfast worked very hard to keep us all very happy (which we were!).

Described in one word - luxurious! The attention to detail in each room was sublime. Friendly staff ( Karen), spacious, clean rooms, almost resembling a suite! Beautiful vista.

Everything about the property was exceptional. A beautiful old house with lots of character. It's in an excellent location with lovely views and within easy walking distance to the town. Karen was very welcoming and so helpful. Our room was really comfortable and there were lots of choices for breakfast. The full English breakfast was excellent! An absolute gem of a place.

Only staying one night! Would've loved to have stayed longer.
