Haigs Hotel

The location was good, a 15-minute drive from BP Pulse Arena, and even if on the main road and our room was facing the road, it was actually quiet. The reception was smiling and was polite.

I understand some places are dated, but this was not just that. The bathroom, even if spacious, was horrendous. The toilet didn't flush, so I had to use my plumbing skills to flush it after every use. Spiders everywhere in the room and one of the size of a tarantula was hiding behind the sink in the bathroom. The kettle was white once upon a time... and the list could go on. I am sorry Haigs, I know it was cheap-ish, but I wouldn't return there even if you would pay me to do so.

Not much really.

The room was totally outdated and smelt mouldy. I felt dirty sleeping in the bed as the room smelt bad. It felt like I was staying at an old people's home.

Comfy basic hotel wirh ample parking. Located near to Berkwell station for easy access to the NEC. Staff were brilliant and helpful. Would stay again. Room was clean and bed was comfortbale.

Despite a comfortable mattess, the pillows were not very comfortable. However, was not a big issues and all other aspects were great.

Great location and rooms. The host and staff, were friendly and couldn’t do enough to help. Food and drinks were fantastic.

It took a little while to get the shower setting right. I stay in hotels all over the country, my only regret while stopping at the Haig, it was not long enough.

Superb value for money and lovely staff

No hot water in the shower and a loose headboard

breakfast was exceptional, as was the evening meal in the restaurant which was really good value for money
