This property is very centrally, located and you can easily walk to all areas, beach, shopping, restaurants, etc. However, if you plan to drive, be aware that the parking around this hotel in non-existent and the valet parking fee is a ridiculous $68 PER DAY!!! Which is completely crazy! The valet guys were very courteous, as well they should be for $68 a day! Also, the room minibar is stocked with crazy expensive liquor and drinks. We much rather preferred some refrigerator space for our own drinks and snacks. Also there was not microwave or fridge in the room, which was disappointing. We stayed here for my birthday weekend and was told at check-in that I would receive a complimentary bottle of wine and fruit on my birthday, but it was never delivered. So, they're not very good on keeping their commitments to their guests. Also, we attempted to use the over-priced cafe, but was told that they were out of the type of smoothie that I ordered.

The greet and check in was excellent and I had worked as a consultant to the owners on the Restaurant in 2014 and they kindly upgraded my room. The Penthouse experience at Dinner and Breakfast were both excellent

Staff, Valet and the hotel General Manager Manju Raman made my 62nd Birthday absolutely Marvelous...my GF love this place, we will be coming back again. The Penthouse on 18th floor has been my favorite restaurant for over 15 years and the rooms here are the best 10x better then Shutters and the Fairmont in Santa Monica....
