Staff friendly and welcoming. Clean and location was the best.

It was awesome

I’m sharing my honest impressions of my stay — the good, the not-so-good, and everything in between. Starting with the positives: The decor and overall vibe were great. Though the building shows its age, the rooms and lobby have been thoughtfully updated. The location is unbeatable, right in the heart of Waikiki. Free Wi-Fi and in-room essentials like coffee and tea were also appreciated. Now for the drawbacks: Parking is valet-only and quite pricey. Since it’s managed by a third-party vendor, the hotel staff distances themselves from any issues — and unfortunately, the service during my stay left much to be desired. Street-facing rooms are extremely noisy at all hours; even with the windows shut, the sound level is intense. Earplugs are absolutely necessary if you want to sleep. Adding to the experience was a 5 a.m. fire alarm evacuation — not the hotel’s fault, but certainly memorable. As for the staff, service was hit or miss. Some were friendly, others less so. There was little to no service recovery when my rental car keys were misplaced by the valet. It took two days, a locksmith, and several calls between the valet manager and the rental company to sort it out — very stressful. On top of that, housekeeping entered my room twice before checkout, asking when I was leaving, which felt intrusive. In the end, I’m walking away with mixed feelings. While there were some high points, I’ll likely explore other accommodations on my next visit.

We loved the pool area. Rooms are cleaned every other day. When we arrived (Saturday night), they had a party going on downstairs. I did ask if this was an all the time thing. The lady at the front desk said it was only the last Saturday of the month. Our first night, they did not have any room in valet to park. Valet parking is $55 a night. There is no free parking unless you want to drive around and find a spot somewheres else. The front desk staff was always super nice and helpful.

Room was great and spacious, Free refillable Water Bottles, Friendly and helpful staff, Breakfast option was delicious.

Good location, super convenient. Service was excellent. However, not too clean (the towels aren’t clean and there was water in the kettle from the last guest, shower area wasn’t too clean). The Toto Japanese toilet was nice though!

We enjoyed our stay! The hotel is super modern and the rooms were really beautiful. The pool was nice and it’s super close to the heart of Waikiki. It would have been nice to have some extra towels in the room.

I would honestly never stay anywhere else in Waikiki!!! Location and everything is on point!!!!

Gerald and his colleagues on the reception team are gracious hosts who look after every detail. Staff and very comfortable rooms are the main reasons I would choose a Romer hotel again.
