Fairfield Inn Muncie

We were at this hotel on February 19, 2025. If I could give this hotel a minus 5 I would. So we get to the hotel and go to check in. This man comes out he says that he is the manager. He is dressed very sloppy and unprofessional. So we get to our room and decide to watch women TV for a while before we go to dinner. The TV kept going off and coming back on. It was very annoying. As I was changing my clothes for dinner. Standing there with my underwear on we hear somebody using their key on our door and he walked into our room. The man apologized and backed out of our room. When we went down to leave for dinner the manager was gone and a young man was at the front desk. We told him what happened and he apologized. We said that it was not his fault. He said that we were actually supposed to get a different room. We told that we want to get comped for our room. He said that he would check with the manager and the manager would let us know in the morning when we check out. So when we were checking out the manager apologized and said that I would see a credit on my card in a couple of weeks. I will be calling the management at Marriott and reporting this hotel.

Breakfast wasn’t stocked and guy at front desk was high and smelled like marijuana

We stayed in the king suite. It was clean and spacious. It's not nice to have a sitting area. But the TV can't be seen from the couch since it's in a cabinet. The pull out sofa was TERRIBLE! Thin "mattress" with springs poking you. Bring your own bedding, because the blankets are super light. Traffic noise was terrible, so best to be on opposite side of hotel. Breakfast was great. Manager was helpful and nice!

The room was fine, and adequate for a single night stay over. The heat was cranked up to 80 when I walked in, VERY TOASTY. The toilet ran for a long time after flushing (I started to jiggle the handle to get it to stop). Would be nice to know the remote had been wiped down between occupancy (many other hotels have a way of reassuring guests that it's been wiped down).

The staff was super friendly and at a great location

Swimming pool water was too salty. I have a salt water outdoor pool at my house so i know that the salt used in this pool was out of balance. It should not burn the eyes and have an overwhelming salty taste

Everything was good enough besides the breakfast. It was really bad!!

I was not informed of parking lot construction and had to park across the street. The street was very busy with constant traffic. This is something that the hotel should have informed guests about upon booking. Also, there staff was very unprofessional or not available.

The parking lot was torn up and there was insufficient parking. Had to park across the street from the hotel. Ridiculous.
