Baymont by Wyndham Williamsburg

To be a whyndam property this is an embarrassment to thier reputation it was a slum it was more of a ghetto housing complex than a hotel none of the employees could be distinguished from people living there The floors were filithy the drawers in the bedside table had old candy and ashes from smokers in them The beds were some of the worst i have ever slept in The air-conditioning was so noisey when it came on it would wake you up so we never got any real sleep Avoid this dump

We arrived last minute and had no booking lined up anywhere. It was late at night, we were desperate, and nearly everywhere was booked solid. We walked in and were walked to a smoking room initially, which absolutely reeked - no shade for that, that's the purpose of the room. We said we were sensitive to cigarettes and requested non-smoking. We were then given a key and took a dirty and dimly-lit elevator that overwhelmingly smelled like urine and mildew. The door to our room was literally shredding - the wood was peeling away from the steel like it had been kicked in, the whole front panel flaking away, and when we attempted to open it, it was jammed. We had to slam on it to get it to pop open. As soon as we rammed the door open - into a room so stained on the floor and walls I didn't even want to go in - my wife flipped the light switch and it didn't work. No power. We immediately went back to the desk and asked for to cancel our booking and have our card refunded. We didn't even enter the room. The one good thing I'll say for the property is that the receptionist didn't refuse to refund us and our refund DID actually clear within a few days, which I was genuinely concerned wasn't going to happen. Don't do it. It's not worth it, no matter how desperate. You are better off sleeping in your car.

The front desk lady was rude, gave us a room with unmade bed, used towels on the bed. Bad experience, not staying there again ever !

Old, dirty, sink leaking, poor unavailable front desk. Pool out of service. Poor breakfast.

The security bolt was missing. At 2:00 AM the front desk mistakenly assigned my room to another guest. So at 2:00 AM a complete stranger walked into my room. Room assignment mistakes happen, but a missing security bolt was a major issue.

There clean is trash changed and shower curtain pulled back! Office staff is rude and mouthy! The whole place is dirty.. worst place I have ever stayed!!

Um.... RUN AWAY tv doesn't work bugs ac don't work NO POOL NOT LIKE THE PICTURES BUT employees Are kind and go to the travel lodge please READ THE REVIEWS RUN AWAY ............... It's very scary here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?!!!?!?!???! Bad

The hotel was gross and my door didn't lock. The floors, walls, and ceiling were gross. Don't book here.

The rooms are in very poor shape. There were many broken things in the room and the rooms need to be painted. There were stains on the sofa as well as holes in all of the lamp shades. I asked for non smoking room and someone had smoked in my room. The bathroom towels were very thin and there weren’t very many. The vanity was a work in progress. Overall I had a very poor experience at this hotel. The only saving grace was the front desk person was very nice and professional

Starting off on a good note: the staff is friendly. That’s the only good thing I can say about this hotel. Don’t be fooled by the photos shown here on Hotels - this entire property is in a state of decay. The walls are a sea of chipped paint, peeling plaster, and unidentifiable stains. Your nose will immediately be assaulted by the stench of cigarettes and dog pee. Upon checking in we immediately had to have our room changed because none of the lights in our originally assigned room worked. Our second room (which we stuck it out in) included a broken tv and a tub that drained so slowly that if you didn’t shower fast enough you would flood your bathroom. There is also no maid service, so protect your towels at all cost because they won’t be replaced, and when we asked for more at the front desk we were met with an eye-roll and an attitude. I would not recommend this hotel, especially if you are staying longer than 1 night.
