The Hollybush Inn and B&B

Convenient for our trip

There was debris everywhere from a previous occupant who’s clothes or something had shed some of its decoration. I unfortunately had not realised what was meant by a continental breakfast! Prepackaged pastries that were just in date and no means of warming anything up!

Set in a lovely village.

Unfortunately the bedding was not clean and the bed was incredibly uncomfortable. The fan in the bathroom did not work. Very bright emergency light above the door.

The atmosphere, and the room its self :) Staff were lovely and a lovely set up bar and garden

Just unfortunate it doesn’t open till 12, hot food for breakfast would be nice in the morning but loved the breakfast basket

Great little traditional village inn B&B Only small issue was they only have Chinese food available for evening meals although the Chinese was excellent if you are staying more than two nights its a bit repetitive there are no other options in the village for food so you need to travel to neighbouring villages.

The Continental breakfast was included in the price and was fine. Because their resident Chinese restaurant is closed on a Tuesday - the night we stayed - they arrange for travelling caterers to set up outside on a Tuesday so we were able to purchase food and eat inside the pub. This was very acceptable. Next time we stay we will hope to try the resident Chinese. The pub which is several hundred years old has been very well renovated. Just the floorboards in some bedrooms need attention! Location is good for us as an overnight stop as it allows us to decide at the time which route to take from the Shuttle to home in Salford as it is equidistant from the two motorway routes we have to choose from.

Beautiful B&B at an historic pub in a great location. Landlord very friendly and good selection of drinks at the bar. Room was a good size and bed was extremely comfortable.
