everything from the beautiful landscaping to the wonderful water features! The architecture, all of the antiques, the old original style of the buildings, the lighting. Every detail in this place is wonderful and well cared for.

What a magical stay! The property itself is absolutely stunning, the history behind it is so interesting, the food is absolutely delicious and unique but what makes this resort pop is the staff!

Beautiful grounds

Pro: The resort grounds are absolutely beautiful. Cons: The actual rooms are pretty outdated and didn't meet our expectations in terms of cleanliness - we found a piece of used chewing gum sitting on a ledge next to the bathtub. We had to call front desk to check on status of our luggage after waiting more than 30 minutes for it to be delivered to room upon arrival. We arranged for luggage to be picked up from room at check-out, but no one came so we had to lug everything ourselves.

Excellent service and accommodation. Staff were all friendly and ready to help. Gorgeous property. Food and drink were priced well and delicious. Loved all the cozy little sitting areas.

The exterior of the resort and staff were amazing. However the rooms need to be updated. The maids did a wonderful job of cleaning and changing the bed. However l was disappointed since the rooms and hallways needed to be seriously updated. The carpets and the furniture in the rooms were falling apart. The hallway and carpet in the section l stayed reminded me of a 2 or 3 star hotel while l paid for a 5 star resort hotel. The hotel needs a major renovation and its sad that the outside area really reminds me of Italy and France. However the rooms were a shocking embrassement. The maids and staff were exceptional. I feel that the corporation owned boutique should be the jewel of the phoenix metro area with its location. I'm sure that management knows improvements need to be made.

The rooms and hallways need to be seriously updated. The furniture in the rooms do not belong in a 5 start resort. I would be greatly surprised if the majority of your guests did not feel the same way.

Charming property with historic architecture. The entire property needs a refresh while keeping the artchitecture in tact. Rooms smell musty/ moldy, chair in room is filthy , carpet smells. There is also some mold. Staff is OK. The only great thing is the breakfast .

There were some bright spots to our stay, but overall, it did not live up to the expectations of a five‑star or Michelin‑level resort. The property is priced like a luxury destination, yet the experience felt closer to a 3.5 or 4 star hotel. Our room was quite dated and had stains in the shower that resembled mold. The beds were not comfortable and were oddly small. Our group had two rooms, and throughout the stay the hotel struggled to keep track of who was in which room. We dealt with repeated key issues, and maintenance was even sent to the wrong room late at night. The gym is very small with limited equipment. The spa was the biggest disappointment: a small and not very luxe relaxation lounge, shabby and cramped layout of the locker room. My massage was the worst I’ve ever received, and my friends were also unhappy with theirs. The quality does not justify the pricing, especially when there are excellent spas at other hotels nearby. The pool area is charming but lacked enough chairs during busy times, especially with wedding groups on property. It felt like the hotel was very understaffed for the occupancy level. On a positive note, the grounds are beautiful, breakfast was delicious, and service at breakfast and at the pool—especially from Christian—was wonderful.
